This clown's opinions aren't worth the trash in that room. He doesn't have a GD clue about America or what we should or shouldn't do.

Today, the wealthiest newborn in the world is a Chinese curtsy. China's one-child policy has resulted in the newborn inheriting the wealth of 14 Ancestors tax-free. In another generation, we would have over 1.4 billion Chinese, with a per capita higher than Americans.
Today, China is producing 3 X more STEM graduates than America does. As far as their quality is concerned, you have to visit any top American university to find that the Chinese are beating their classmates hands down. In the last 5 years, China has registered more international patents than America and Europe combined.

Today, in PPP terms, the Chinese economy is 1.25 times larger than that of America. China was the largest economy in the world until 1820. America is the Joney come lately.
A recent PEW (American) survey showed that 88 % of Chinese are happy with their political system and see a better future for their children, whereas only 28 % of Americans felt the same way. Today, the Chinese are enjoying the best period in their 4000-year history.

In 2019 alone, America dropped 26,000 bombs on 6 sovereign countries without UN sanctions, killing thousands and making millions of refugees. Was this done to further human rights? Or was it the Liberal world order? Maybe it was to promote Democracy.

It is the US that initiated the trade war against China.
It is the US that embargoed technologies exporting to China for decades by The Wassenaar Arrangement
It is the US that openly talked about containing the development of China in the first place.
And now you discribe China as a warmonger and a major threat to the international order.

It’s a fact that the U.S. started the war against China by imposing tariffs on imports from China, by imposing restrictions on the sale, even by its allies, of advanced chips and chip making machines to China, by creating a chokehold with military alliances facing China’s coastal areas. It’s obvious that the U.S. wants to destroy China’s economy. By doing this, the U.S. will be causing a global depression, because the world is so intertwined in so many aspects that if one pillar falls, the others will also fall. The U.S. is really the only actor destabilizing the global order. I think Dr. Zakaria has pointed out this danger in a clear and urgent warning. Do not do it! Look at those in the EU, they are already suffering from the fall-outs as the collateral damage: Germany is in trouble, France is twittering, The Netherlands is grumbling because of they can’t sell chips to their biggest customer in China, South Korea and Japan are also distressed because they are loosing market shares in China. America is making everybody pay for its own folly.

to understand any country is to have some appreciation of it's recent history and china is no exception. the speaker in this video gives zero context in which china had to deal with western imperialism over the last 200 years or it's role in global trade of the last 2500 years. this speaker mentions jeffrey sachs. if you want a broad and more contextualize understanding of today's china, sachs, will give you that

The Chinese has long learned from its history and one single so called “coherent” ideology is a poison rather than a panacea. A society needs to accommodate different ideologies and so do the ideologies to each other. Therefore, there has never been a been a religion in its canonical form, it’s always an attitude towards life. An aspiring young usually adopt a Confuscious attitude which values ambition pursuit and a sense of responsibility for the well-being of family, state, then the whole world. A middle aged man may adopt a Taoism attitude which values keep one’s own spirit pure in a corrupted world. For less educated population, Buddhism gives them comfort. These ideologies are a la carte for one to pick throughout life, whatever makes sense. What’s why Chinese seldom go to see a psychiatrist, they go to one of the ideological shrines (some very shabby and primitive), donate a little bit, draw a fortune-reading stick, then came out happier. Chinese don’t really care if there is one true God, or any other Gods are evil they are not your Gods. Chinese never see things as simple binary right or wrong, true or false. Chinese despise such simplicity, which arguably was the reason Chinese did not invent modern science, because science is all about clear-cut logic, you are either right or wrong. Chinese deeply care more about humanity, living in harmony between nature & human, than pursuing the ultimate truth. We never believed in ultimate truth in a ever changing world.

That is why there is the BRICS countries now, rising up to fight against the west dominance, exploitation, lootings and hegemony. US & EU will for sure decline quickly in coming years soon. US is not more powerful now because of its allies, US has no manufacturing to speak of, no heavy industries, over half of adults can only read and write at or below 6 grade level! In addition, US is the world largest debtor! As soon as US can't print any more money, it's economy will collapse! In terms of military, Ukraine war will be the perfect example of how weak the US and NATO are! Russia is winning even with all those sanctions!

Fareeed knows little about China. In 1990 the USA still remained theg sole superpower. As "good Americans"? What "good Americans" are you talking about? Fareee can only see the world through an American lens. We all know the history. Why has China presented you with a problem. China is not a problem. If America thinks the very growth of China is a problem then it is America's self created problem. Everyone talks about Communism as if they know what communism is to begin with. It is a term bandied about by everyone like Fareed without a clue what us "commuism". Xi is the greatest leader of the 21st century. No one wants an American hegemon.

The US is the biggest control freak and dictator of the world. While China is connecting the world with trade and cooperation, the US is doing everything to maintain its superiority and world domination at the expenses, misery, and suffering of other countries including China. Rise of China has benefited not only China but the world, especially to the developing nations that used to rely on the US but without much success. In fact, many of those developing nations went backward instead of moving forward. China gives them hope and confidence they have never had before. The US and its allies are too jealous to see China rise so the US government has allocated the largest budget for conducting anti-China campaign to train journalists on how to come up with anti-China news articles and narratives to stir up anti-China sentiments around the world. China is not the problem but the US is.

There's over 151 countries are members of the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative! Chinese government has the vision and long term goal knowing someday US will becoming an insignificant country in terms of trade since US really does not make anything! Chinese investment in developing countries will raise those countries' standard of living and thus will trade more with China! China graduates ten times more engineers than the US, nine out of ten PhD in the US university are foreigner students!

The current developments in the US-Canada-India triad relationship regarding the Khalistani issue can potentially blow up and throw a spanner in bringing India into the west plus camp. The Canadians have directly blamed the Indian home minister as directly involved in the killing/attempted killing.
