Royal Purple® HMX®

You had me at detergents. I like a tidy motor!

I have a lifted 2004 4runner with 126k miles. I use it as a work vehicle during the week but on the weekends I abuse it in the mountains or on the sand. I switched to HMX my last oil change. And I also used max atomizer last night.
I will check back after my oil analysis!

Why wouldnt you just switch to this oil at the first oil change? Seems to me your advertising reduced wear for motors over 75k miles on it. Wouldnt it make sense to begin that protection early on in the engines life??? I recently picked up a 2nd dodge truck with a 4.7 engine which is prone to sludge buildup (for some reason). The plan is to flush out as much as possible until I'm convinced the internals are as clean as I'm going to get them without a teardown, then switch to the HMX oil.

To me, 75k is not high mileage... My Rams engine (diesel) has 465k & has lived on RP oils since approx 120k and will continue to get it every 10k.

Can I use hmx oil in a gm vehicle requiring dexos1 gen2 requirement? Does it exceed Dexos1 gen2 requirement?

Hello I hope all is well. I have a question regarding a 2012 lexus is350 v6 3.5 liter with 140k miles on the clock. Im running your regular Royal Purple synthetic oil. Im due for an oil change in about 2 weeks.

Would you recommend Royal Purple HPS or the Royal Purple high mileage HMX formula? Your guidance is appreciated.

Why is the hmx geared towards 4 cylinder vehicles which Royal purple product is right for my 2007 Honda Accord V6 with performance upgrades N.A with 170k mileage?

I doubt I'll get a reply on a 3 year-old video but here goes....
The use of HMX assumes that the engine has been neglected for 75K miles and needs this formula to clean it up and condition the seals, BUT if Royal Purple has been used in the engine since it was new, would it still require HMX?
I'd think that it wouldn't be necessary to use HMX on a high mileage engine that has been well cared for but maybe I'm missing something.

I can feel the difference in performance and smoothness right away using Royal Purple HMX on my 2017 Hyundai Accent with 100K miles.
