The very moment a train leaves Austria to Germany or Hungary or Czechia, there is immediate delay. Within Austria, trains are pretty much on time. At least in my experience

$577 isn't bad and the room is nice & spacious with a privatebathroom. Color-changing light! And a big bag full of goodies. Good food choices & the view should be beautiful. I'm impressed.

Locking the door doesn't necessarily prevent you from getting robbed. Recently, I met a very kind woman on a train, and she told me about her experience. She was basically drugged while she was sleeping. They unlocked the door, sprayed something to keep her asleep longer, and took her money and belongings. The worst part? The train companies, like ÖBB in her case, refused to take responsibility, even though a Nightjet should at least guarantee passengers' safety. Watch out, really and always place something right in front of the door as an obstacle.
