you can kill bowser? can you do that in the original?

I'm confused. In Level 1-2, Mario jumped over a water pit, which I assumed would have killed him. Almost every great Mario game involves a scene with Mario swimming in water, so how come that one time Mario could be killed by water?

Yeah, Nintendo released a couple of Japan-only games on their Virtual Console this week. This is one of them, the other is Sin & Punishment, a great shoot-em-up.

Some people really hate it when others show these classic games being played on the Wii. They are good starter games for those just getting into SNES,NES,N64,Turbographix16 and etc systems and games on the Wii VC.This game is a classic. One i will be downloading for Wii when i purchase the system.

This is even better than the first SMB, I like the difficulty level.

Can someone please help me to find a version of Super Mario Bros that I played once? You could choose right from the beginning different stages, and one of them had rain and wind in it.

Oh yeah. Other than that it looked and felt just like this version.

I guess when everybody already knew how to bypass the whole game when there was hidden shortcuts, I think they didn't have to complete the whole level. Although it does make gaming fun anyway!

I was 5 and I played the first Super Mario Bros. for NES on a NES clone

Fix the sound. There's a right channel that sound is supposed to come out of. Normal people listen to sound with both ears.
