Visiting the Church Road Winery in Hawkes Bay #newzealandwine #winetasting

On a recent trip to Hawkes Bay, on the East Coast of New Zealand's North Island, we stopped off at the Church Road Winery for a tasting and a quick tour.

Under the visionary leadership of Tom Macdonald, Church Road was the winey in Hawkes Bay that pioneered the production of Cabernet Sauvignon. Today Winemaker Chris Scott continues these traditions making the acclaimed Tom Cabernet Merlot - a wine named in Honor of Tom Macdonald.
