It dumbfounds me and many who care about animals for such treatment occur in places where you expect the animals to be cared for and cared for properly. Not just the animals are affected. People who even had a passion for animals had to go through a quagmire and it all took was the media to expose what was really happening for everything to come down to the outcome. The outcome SeaQuest is experiencing when it comes to filing for bankruptcy is the result of how people reacted to the truth by no longer contributing to an aquarium after the truth has been exposed. I doubt the bankruptcy filing will be the end. No doubt there will be more to this story.

Thank you for keeping on top of this story. I hope the appropriate agencies and animal rescue organizations will be involved in finding safe places for all the animals.
People need to understand that wild creatures, even our best bud capybara, aren’t meant to live in those sorts of conditions or have much, if any contact with humans.
Hopefully there is some way for the workers and vets to be compensated. They were the ones who were the whistleblowers about the terrible conditions.

I hope someone is continuing to care for the animals.

I don’t know why anyone thought an aquarium in a strip mall would ever be a viable or good idea. People complain about zoos being terrible for animals all the time and those have much more room, space, training, and resources. Like yeah you can and should blame this type of business for existing, but no business owner would go through with it if they didn’t think there would be customers willing to hand over money so consumers should think about their role in this as well. Especially when you have places like sea world with their known animal abuses still open and popular
