Thank you Glen!
ОтветитьAwesome video Glen. The Dreamcast was a very underrated system. If you can find it get the Dreamcast version of Daytona USA, that game is the bomb. Epic ending as always!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing. 😎👍
ОтветитьWow! You got really great results. I use Salon Care 40 and a uv lamp. I did want to try it with liquid peroxide so I'll probably try it like this. Also just wanted to mention that a bottle of Salon Care 32oz is only around $5.
ОтветитьHuh, I've never seen this method where you submerge the parts in water with oxyclean/substitute.
It actually looks like you got a better result doing it this way, simply because when you apply that 40/50 volume gel, it is a gel and needs to be applied evenly.
Great work. I'll have to try this myself
Good work Glen. Thanks for the great as always (and fun) content.
ОтветитьTry a SNES next?
ОтветитьIt might be that not enough people know about trying it, so they go with the more expensive and more laborious processes. Either way, I think I'll try this first when I feel I need to brighten a console. Thank you for the tip.
ОтветитьThe hydrogen peroxide salon creme can be found fairly cheap online. It's actually great for retrobrighting items that you don't want to submerge in water, as you can just brush it on. So it does have that advantage.
ОтветитьAwesome results, Glen! I just retrobrighted my new dreamcast. My old dreamcast is a VA2, so I had to get a VA1 to install a gdemu. I got it for $45 with free shipping, for parts because the drive didn't read discs. I fixed the drive while I waited for the gdemu to come in the mail. Put a 250gb sd on it and got 216 games on it.
ОтветитьThe Saloncare 40 is only $3.99 at Sally's The whole top of the dreamcast will fit in a 1 gallon ziplock bag.
ОтветитьGreat video Glen! May have to try this sometime on my beige TI-99/4a. It's looking a bit aged. Great work my friend!
ОтветитьLooks fantastic. I appreciate you cleaning it right before you sell it to me. Thanks Glen.
ОтветитьI've got an old NES that I've been wanting to try this out on. May have to be my next weekend project 👍
ОтветитьI use that same stuff along with hot water in my carpet cleaner and it works great
ОтветитьMan that looks amazing. Great work. Also how old are we all getting that Dreamcast is retro enough to need restored
ОтветитьAnother fantastic video Glen! I wonder what Negan will think of this, I heard he bought the expensive stuff and had poor results :)
ОтветитьSaloncare 40 clear liquid mixed 50/50 with water is my go to and really not more than a few bucks. Nice to have more inexpensive options.
ОтветитьNew drinking game video, ever time Glen says “One Dollar” - Take a drink!
ОтветитьOr for much slower and not so complete results, just put it outside in direct sunlight for a few days. That's the FREE way.
ОтветитьWow definitely going to try this on my old systems. I wanted to buy a second Dreamcast cheap but hate the discolored look of the cheaper units. Now I can do this!
ОтветитьMan you said 99 cents so much, I now have macklemore in my head... "but sh** it was 99 cents!"
ОтветитьHi thank you for the video, I’m concerned about the aluminum box, are you sure it doesn’t react with the oxygen?
ОтветитьWhaaat? I'm going to try this for a vintage toy restoration, and if it works I'm going to buy you a lifetime supply of off-brand oxyclean. So like 5 dollars worth...
