Not really? I've had a 2 stroke engine. That was specifically manufacturer. One of those high speed ones that were very expensive and very efficient it's quality over quantity

And yet 3 days for me. Was all that last because, after 3 days it broke down, didn't even work anymore. I have to take it to a mechanic. And he can't figure out what's wrong with it

And it's costing me over hundreds of dollars to try to fix the other one

I think 4 stroke engines are more worth it than a 2 stroke engine

I've had one for a while and never had 1 issue. Not a single one sure I may have to adjust. The chain and the sprocket, so it wouldn't jump. Or loose

But never had an issue. With The 4 stroke engine unlike a 2 stroke engine

I used one of those engines for a year, and every thread in it stripped out, the first time I retightened them, turning it into scrap. I now have a Predator 212, non hemi engine in my bike, which required a frame stretch to make it fit, which cost me $500.00. After some research, I found the Monster 90 engine, which is a 4 stroke, 78.5cc, that will fit, without frame welding, and with a Comet 20 series CVT, and a Juggernaut clutch from Go Power Sports, you have a bike that performs just like a motorcycle, taking off from a dead stop, in low gear, it's like having a 3 speed transmission, with the cvt, and the GPS clutch works flawlessly, no more peddling to get started, no 2 stroke oil dripping off everything, no mixing gas and oil, just riding, topping off gas at a gas station, doing a half liter oil change, once a year. The Monster 90 engine produces about 3.5 to 4 hp, at 4,000 rpm, and, depending on the rear sprocket teeth, will comfortably reach 60 or 70 kph. This engine is very well made, and will last for years. I made a chain tensioner that attaches to the backing plate of the cvt, and eliminated that dangerous piece of scrap you have there. I also replaced the rubber sandwich sprocket mount, that ends up snapping the spokes on one side of the wheel, after about a year of use, with a 5 spoke mag wheel, with the sprocket bolted on where the brake disc normally goes, and caliper brakes on the rim of the wheel. I have been riding this set-up for 7 years, and it runs as strong today, as the first ride. I installed Honda 10 amp charging coils, and a 3 magnet flywheel, with some machining involved, and I have a Harley, 7" front led headlight, a double jet led taillight, with turn signals, and brake-light switch on the rear brake lever, and a battery that stays charged. If you want a serious bike, this is the answer. PS Don't use that chain tensioner, it's dangerous, for obvious reasons.

I have no practical use for one of these, but they're so cheap and I love working on old bicycles (they're a dime a dozen and there's an infinite variety of projects you can do with them), so I'm probably gonna build one of these someday. I have this crazy idea to build one and then build a makeshift trailer for it and take it out to the lake and go camping. 😎

For the first run a broken in the engine with AMSOIL SAE30 break in oil. I used a 25:1 oil gas mix. I got the best result besides using regular two stroke oil. After the second tank of gas I want back to 2 cycle oil. Using a 40:1 mix. Or you could used a regular 20w50 high zinc oil 40:1 mix. The problem with two cycle oil is there not enough high pressure and zinc additives inside so a lot of those engine fail prematurely at low hours. So using a 25:1 AMSOIL or which ever brand break in oil 30 weight will coat the bearings and piston stirt with a good layer of zinc to prevent scratches and scuffing during the first 1 to 3 hours of running.

About 18 years ago I bought a 49cc kit but bought a 41 tooth sprocket instead of the standard 44, put it on a solid steel Malvern star 26in bike with no suspension and it went great, Max about 60kph which was slightly faster than my friends better quality more expensive kit on an alloy bike... the sprocket was a prick to get on but was alot of fun.
Although if the 80cc only does that same speed you won't see me buying one, the stealth bullet 1000w scooter I had was ALOT quicker albeit more dangerous (broke 7 bones in 3 crashes) lol

Skyhawk is the top of the line for motorized bicycle engines. I had one about 10 years ago in high school. I used cheap components with the expensive engine so I worked on it all the time lol. But I could get that thing up to 50 miles an hour. I miss it. I should build another. Maybe this time with nicer parts.
