Apartheid's Manhunter Wolves

Today we will cover the South African Apartheid government's initiative aimed at breeding highly specialized wolf-dog hybrids for law enforcement and tracking purposes. The project, initially shrouded in secrecy, sought to develop a canine unit with enhanced abilities for search and apprehension operations in challenging terrains. However, as public scrutiny and ethical concerns grew, the project was eventually disbanded, and many of the wolf-dog hybrids were relocated to a newly established haven: the Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary.
