you need to increase the airflow through the truck under the body shell, fans need a supply of fresh air to do their work blocking the path of the air with a battery or receiver will over heat esc etc especially in high power set ups. you are getting into the same problems that the rc edf jet guys suffer from in small powerful set ups, they also burn up esc and batteries.

Do you have motor heat issues running those MXL tires? They look sick and I'd love them for my Xmaxx. I'm running the 5892 Leopard can so I think I'd be good.

we just ran my buddies xmaxx with the upgrade to 8s and 19 tooth pinion and it ran great in backyard. We bring it in to check it out. Everything is fine. Plug the battery back in and turn it on and the esc started smoking like hell. Whole garage was smoked right up. ESC is cooked and one battery is showing a bad cell now. Everything was brand new. Traxxas should be ashamed of themselves.

Dude, the x-maxx with the losi tyres is super cool! Can it handle as much as the stock ones? Can deliver decent jumps with those tyres! I would like to see that! Nice work either way! Love those wheels

i have a 6s Stock X-Maxx. Would you recommend those MTXL Wheels project to work with a stock 6s? am i in danger of over heating? i see you have the 8s so you probably have no issues but i have 6s...any advise?
