I really want nothing to become a billion dollar smart phone brand
ОтветитьTyping this on Nothing 2A +
ОтветитьShort answer: With a Multi-Million dollar capital.
ОтветитьI’m not a client, but the design really got me. I was familiar with teenage engineering’s work (I got the P.O K.O couple years ago) and I’m was stunned by all their designs. You can see it being poured into Nothing’s culture, and it’s great.
ОтветитьCYANOGEN back then was an all time favorite for Android users.
Ответитьgenious
ОтветитьSo much Apple glazing from the interviewer
Ответитьtiktok is real garbage
ОтветитьI used to have the same Meizu M4 MP3 player and it was great quality for its days.

ОтветитьGreat guy and my next phone will be one of these I think.

ОтветитьThis guy is someone who isn't with the technology of modern worlds. Bash on flagships of Samsung, Apple, One plus, but then his phone is complete mid. Makes no sense.
Ответитьanything ai based, smartphone based companies will disappear before we even hear thier name not to mention their CEOOOOOOO's names. Whatever!
ОтветитьI install cyangen rom on my galaxy note 3 for 9 years. Each year i have new android updated back in the day. Now Samsung start galaxy s23 guarantee 7 years android update i stop intall cyangen rom i bought the galaxy s23 ultra.
ОтветитьThese comments are wild, Carl has wild ties to BBK... this may be the most advertisement YC interview ever, even his history of OnePlus contradicts the wiki page.
Ответитьhahahahah so fun!!
ОтветитьNo one cares about phones these days. Just another commodity.
ОтветитьHe acutally gives steve jobs vibes. Also what nothing is doing actually caters the common needs and execution is on point. Would be exciting to look at Nothing after 10 years, might be closest to Apple.
ОтветитьEnjoying these 1-1 interviews! Impressive accomplishments from Carl, wishing him all the best.
ОтветитьWatching on my Nothing phone 2. I was gonna buy the 16 pro max but I ordered the N2 instead 😆🫡
Ответить还不如悟空

"Founder of Nothing"
ОтветитьThanks for the video❤
ОтветитьHow are you going to gloss over the fact that he sold OVER 600,000 ear buds to initially fund the first phone ?
How did he even compete with Apple , Samsung and all the other ear bud sellers to do this
This guy is cool af
ОтветитьAllen Mark Taylor Frank Harris Helen
ОтветитьStarted from nothin now we nothing
Ответить"Founder of Nothing" sounds funny 😅
ОтветитьNothing should do a mini smart phone, that has scalable screen(Folsom) screen to prevent REmote Desktop nibs. Also partner with Pi or Neeweeno with a airgapped port.
ОтветитьI WAS WAITING FOR THIS>>> RESPECT ++++
ОтветитьGuys,
Let me know your thoughts about building a startup of ride haling around EV, a miniature version of uber. I am looking only few metros in india as of now. We are still at building mvp stage. Please share your thoughts and suggestions.
Dope interview
Ответить20 minutes is not enough time to explore the nuances and complexities of a founder's journey. Longer conversations allow you to explore important details, such as strategic decisions, difficulties overcome and lessons learned along the way. For truly effective learning, it would be ideal for interviews to be more extensive, enabling a deeper and more comprehensive analysis.
ОтветитьLonger interviews, especially with founders, can offer deeper, more valuable insights. In an extended format, interviewees have the opportunity to share their experiences, challenges, and strategies in greater detail, which is essential for entrepreneurs and those interested in startups to learn in a more meaningful way. In addition to the six basic questions, they could explore topics such as the personal journey, crucial decisions, failures faced, and the impact of these decisions on the company's success.
Y Combinator could consider adding an in-depth interview series where founders discuss these aspects in a more narrative format.
Great insights here! Thanks for this episode
ОтветитьAfter he left OnePlus went down the toilet.
ОтветитьGrwat content
Ответитьwe should do more like this, or like the one that includes elon with sam few years ago
ОтветитьVery interesting story, didn't know how he started out!
ОтветитьCarl is such a role model! I hope Nothing thrives 🎉💯
ОтветитьAs a founder of nothing,
I find this really helpful
Wow, Carl Pei is such a down to earth cool dude.
Ответитьdesign of nothing is great but their quality is not good after one year of usage and they are less bothered and customer service is worst they need to fix these things quality and customer service if not they won't survive without software
