How to Create Gradient Text in Canva

I'm back to show you how to create a stunning gradient text effect in Canva.

#### **Step 1: Choose Your Gradient**
1. **Search for a Gradient**:
- Go to the **Elements** tab on the left menu.
- Type "gradient" into the search bar.
- Choose a gradient that you like. There are plenty of options, and many allow you to customize the colors.

2. **Apply the Gradient to Your Workspace**:
- Drag your chosen gradient to fill the entire workspace. You can adjust the colors if you want by clicking on the gradient and using the color options.

#### **Step 2: Add and Style Your Text**
1. **Add Text**:
- Click on the **Text** tab and choose your desired font you can use any font you prefer.
- Type your text and resize it to your liking.

2. **Change the Text Color**:
- Set the text color to white or a light gray. This will make the next steps easier.

3. **Adjust the Transparency**:
- With your text selected, go to the **Transparency** option in the top right.
- Set the transparency to somewhere between 30% and 40%. This makes it easier to see the gradient through the text.

#### **Step 3: Export and Re-Upload the Text**
1. **Export the Image**:
- Go to **Share** in the top right corner, click on **Download**, and choose **PNG** for the best quality.
- Download the image.

2. **Re-Upload the Image**:
- Start a new Canva project or clear your current workspace.
- Go to **Uploads** and upload the PNG file you just downloaded.
- Drag the uploaded image to fill the workspace.

#### **Step 4: Remove the Background**
1. **Remove Background**:
- With the image selected, click on **Edit Image** and then choose **Background Remover**.

2. **Apply the Changes**:
- Once the background is removed, click **Apply**.

#### **Step 5: Adjust the Gradient Text**
1. **Edit Image Settings**:
- Go back to **Edit Image** and click on **Adjust**. Select **See All** to access all adjustment options.

2. **Enhance the Gradient**:
- **Brightness**: Lower the brightness to make the colors bolder.
- **Contrast**: Increase the contrast to make the gradient pop.
- **Saturation**: Bring up the saturation to around 40 to make the colors vibrant.
- **Vibrance**: Optionally, you can increase vibrance, but this depends on the colors you’re using.

#### **Step 6: Export and Use the Gradient Text**
1. **Export the Final Design**:
- If you want to use this gradient text on top of other designs, export it as a **PNG**.
- Make sure to check the **Transparent Background** option when downloading.

2. **Import and Use**:
- You can now place your gradient text over any design or image. Simply upload the transparent PNG and drag it onto your canvas.
