It is a amazing story of bob champion because he beat cancer and won the grand national, it was a well deserved win and his surname says what he really is, a champion

Alastair Down has a way of describing horse racing in a way no other analyst can.

"outflanked the reaper and beaten cancer" just perfection.

So sad he his not with us now. Most of the itv racing team would be advised to watch some of the old channel 4 coverage. Even in the winter months when sometimes there was either no or maybe 1 meeting, Alastair, McCririck and the team could still fill 2 or 3 hours with wonderful stories and talking points. You don't get that anymore.
