Honorable Mentions MGSV (although I get why it isn’t on the list as the World doesn’t feel quite as alive as the other games here) and Immortals: Fenyx Rising, also known as „Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Zelda: Breath of the Wild have a child - the game“.
Not to mention Yakuza Series, which perfected the small scale/ high density open world.

I recently obtained a ps4 from a friend who upgraded. Never having ventured into ‘console-world’ before, but limiting my gaming to the odd pc game, I now suspect, like you I may never venture outside again’ except to dive into the ‘used’ game stores.
Call of duty WW2, COD Modern Warfare, Red Redemption 2, The Last of us ?
I am in awe of the alternative worlds I may prefer to this ‘Apocalypse Now’ I find myself in.

I honestly tried 3 times to enjoy Witcher 3. Couldn't play more than 3-4 hours into the story without losing Interest every time 😔 I feel like I'm missing out

Death stranding is sooooo boring to play....

Hard to beat RDR2 when it comes to graphics and open world... I like being deep in the woods surviving fighting fishing ,hunting, offfoad driving , horses , animals , with everything in it to interact with .. real life stuff. I'm having a hard time finding a open world game like this.. I thought Farming simulator 20 or something had all this. I thought I saw a video of being able to build home fix roads raise animals hunt sell meat u kill. Ride all kinds of vehicles , be a cop , fire fighter ambulance, and save hikers stuck on mountain by helicopter... Ect.. now when I was gonna buy it I can't find it. Was it a different game ? I have snow runner but I get so mad at it cuz I get stuck so dam easy and can't always find something to connect wintch to.. so I have to start all over . That game had potical but has alot of bad stuff. Like it should be abke to drive through the roads without getting stuck , or when u flip your truck reset to flip back over .any suggestions ob games like this ??? Im still using PS4 🥴

I was just looking for one as awesome as RDR2 but it's yet to have been made. The Witcher looks cool.
