Look, people have a hard time believing in my experience due to false representations of what God is.

Look to see how the Catholic Church defines God. Then start from there, look at the historical evidence for the ressurection.

God, who is simple (not made of any parts), is pure spirit. God is not in one place and another absent. God is everywhere. It is through him and with him that we have our being. God simply is. God is the essence of all things good, beautiful, and true. God is also personal.

If you read Aristotle, you will find facets of these views, which is traditional, classic philosophy, rooted in Western thinking.

A pure act of our existence shows that God is love. The first mover, prime mover, uncaused cause, etc, etc...

Is that really so hard to believe? Even if it is, your desire for belief and assent is pure faith, coming from the Holy Spirit.

The Eucharist exists to help rid your reliability of the five senses in order to have faith.

God revealed himself to humanity through the incarnation of Jesus Christ, the son of the Godhead.

God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

In one word, patience. God will help but, just as a child takes time to grow and process some things, you probably won't understand certain things yet. This is normal that we are not given certain knowledge until later, or that there are things that we don't fully understand until later. God works on His time, not ours, and that's something many people have to remember and understand. It's also quite the test. Is the individual going to insist on doing it their way, or God's way?

Saying we’re not owed obvious proof is the ultimate cop out. God is supposedly all loving and all powerful. Meanwhile we are allegedly at risk of eternal torture if we get this wrong. God is logically obliged to make sure every single person has a clear understanding of all of this if he hopes to maintain any logical consistency with his supposed perfectly loving nature.

Falling short of this at all, even just ignoring a few people like the Sentinelese people on that remote island, is logically unbecoming of a perfect god and contradicts his being.

If god is not bound from providing everyone perfect knowledge, then that can only logically be explained as a result of him being NOT all loving. Plain and simple.

Theres absolutely no valid excuse for allowing the guessing game and such confusion as theres no advantage to it over god just doing the obviously reasonable thing and just showing up to everyone and actually making sure they know hes real and what he wants.

Its really that simply and its only overcomplicated by apologists as a desperate post hoc rationalization in the face of the fact that things appear just as the would if the all loving all powerful god is simply made up.

Does anyone else feel like this still doesn’t answer the girl's second question? Or that It also seems to be a different answer than the answer to her first question?

Matthew 7:7-8
New International Version
Ask, Seek, Knock

7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

The whole “why God allow bad thing to happen” question is really stale in my opinion. And in terms of this callers question it’s even more obvious the answer is because He gave us free will. God doesn’t control anyone like a puppet. He’s not going to force anyone to believe in Him or follow His commands or anything like that. He will punish people for the decisions people make however but won’t force anything. Also regardless of people saying they don’t believe in God they know God exists deep down. It’s a spiritual problem not an intellectual one.

I think the host mistakes the issue. The problem is not about God's justice, it's about his love. How could an all-loving God leave well-intentioned people, who are honestly seeking him, unsure of his existence? How can he leave them with existential anxiety when they sincerely only want to know him? That doesn't appear loving. Perhaps the host can address this.

The second two explanations were kind of circular. "God permits people to not believe because they aren't smart enough". God could make everyone smart enough so essentially God permits people to not believe because he permits them not to believe.

It doesn't explain the core of the question which is "if belief is necessary for salvation, why does God permits people to not believe through no fault of their own"

The whole essence of God is goodness so in His ommipotence He is never voluntaristic. If He were not perfectly good, He would not be God. Never does He not want anyone to not believe. Christ died for all of us. As we all are individuals, He has different ways to bring us into faith. Those who don't know will not be held accountable for it. People can only send themselves to Hell if they willingly choose evil or choose indifference about the existence of God to maintain their lifestyle as they please.

I hear lots of "im sinning, thus it is my fault."
Two things. First, Moses murdered and Saul/Paul murdered yet they were spoken to by God which means He "choses" people and that WILL ALWAYS FRUSTRATE PEOPLE.
2) All of the exercist priests say it is real, along with many others. They say ouija boards and this satans prayer and this child sacrifice will ALWAYS bring a demon or a devil to their "home" to converse and the like, YET, when we pray to the angels and the saints and mother Mary and God/Jesus Himself, MOSTLY , WELL ALWAYS nothing appears, yet the dark people appear, that ia what bothers people and keep in mind all the saints and Moses and Pauls have sinned the same and worse than people today yet they never meet and angel, saint, relative or the Holy Spirit Himself. The answer alwsys is He works in mysterious ways or you aren't worthy or your sin blinds/hides it from you (but not from Moses or Paul or all the saints).
This is why there are issues and the kicker, with exercists is it isn't fair to film them or sone other ridiculous reason why many can't be present with unrold cameras set up way before the exorcism.
This is what the problems are for many AND NEVER GET RESOLVED only the DARK SIDE APPEARS.
GOD BLESS!!

For me it was pride that kept me from believing – I saw myself as smarter (and better) than "those unintelligent religious people", and also more indirectly I wanted to be free to keep sinning whenever I wanted without feeling any shame. I think this comes from how I grew up, my family not practicing or believing, and society in general being so secularized, it seemed bizarre to me that people could actually believe. But here I am, at 32, attending RCIA, Sunday Mass, the occasional daily Mass, and Adoration 🥹 if it can happen for me, I'm sure it can happen for others as well 🙏🏼

Catholic answers, God can't get Catholics to believe in Him, because they HAVE to believe the popes porkies and the Catholic con-men. Hence why Catholics refuse to believe the Bible when it proves them wrong.

Why do you have captions of the person's question, successively highlighting each word? That is the most annoying and irritating thing I have ever seen. And it actually makes it harder for me to listen tot he question.

When people dont want to believe, they won't. Some times its a choice. They simply dont want it to be true. Sometimes, you have to make a leap of faith. If you dont, He chooses not to give people the grace to believe.

This sounds an awful lot like accusing the unpersuaded of merely being too dumb to be persuaded, which -- if God exists -- suggests that they aren't endowed with the intellect one would expect a loving God to endow to those whom He would save. If sin offends God and He would prefer we not sin, why would sin so darken the intellect that one couldn't couldn't apprehend the truth Karlo insists is obvious and self evident to anyone smart enough? This doesn't answer the question, just begs it.
