Hey dude, I just finished your course on BASIC and built the calculator. I have a problem though, I noticed that sometimes if I enter very large numbers for adding or subtracting (I also added options 3 and 4, dividing and multiplication), the result is sometimes a minus number or 0 e.g. 1237198738197 + 198739816696 = -33 Also, can you recommend anything else to do with BASIC? I'm going to start this VB6 course you have too but I just wanted to know if you can suggest good freeBASIC resources!

Your first problem is likely due to rollover. Each variable type can only count up to certain values, eg an 8 bit integer can count to 255. If you add more than this to it, it rolls over back to zero and continues. So if we add 257 to an 8 bit variable that is initialized to 0, the variable will hold 2 after the addition. There is pretty good documentation and tutorials on the FreeBasic website.

Take a look at the twinBASIC programming language. It can import VB6 source code and forms and has a modern IDE capable of 64 bit compilation.
