Should You Still Invest In Property If You Have a Mortgage?

Hi with a 1 % rate and my parents comin into retirement and a fully paid off mortgage what are my chances on borrowing on their mortgage or should i borrow on a new loan ?

They are my only way into the property market apparently i dont earn enough and is it wise to add a mortgage to them or get my own mortgage any thoughts pleas3
