Wow ... If I can empathize with this lyrical beauty of a song. Often, God's people forget that He loves us. That He is our one and only judge. And HE loved us while we were still yet sinners.

But ministry can be difficult sometimes because of the messiness of a lack of the understanding, and revelatory Love of God, who is Love Himself. Expectations we may put on ourselves. Fear of man creeping in.

God's word is so rich. One thing He reminds me of often is that He is not looking for perfection. He is looking for my surrendered heart. To believe. To receive. To trust. To obey.

He IS the Author and Finisher of my faith. And His plan is always GOOD.

I commend DOE for the courage to be authentically DOE. God can only use us when we are fully surrendered to Him. He will heal the broken heart, and He will also break us and forge us through fire so that what is left is the purity of who He calls us to be. Living fully led by His Holy Spirit.

This is His love, and no human can ever love us the way He does. Thank You, Jesus!

This is a song of vulnerability on so many levels that comes unfiltered, straight from the heart. It is a no smokes, no screens reveal. DOE did something crazy and terrifying, yet raw and sincere here in making this song. Only those who are willing to be real will be able to relate with everything this video represents.

I personally don't use makeup and almost always wear my natural hair, not because I hate women using makeup or don't believe in more artificial hairdo's, but because it helps me remain grounded at my core and not have makeup and making up become the reference point of my confidence. In a world where men are allowed to be themselves and women are judged based on how far from their natural, GOD -given look/beauty, they can make themselves appear, it is easy to get swallowed up in performance. Yes, I also do try, but at the core of my being I always remind myself to do so within the bounds of reason and my personal comfort, because, as DOE spot on said in this video, "Performance can't buy love." Yes, I try, but within the consciousness, that I am already unwaveringly, unfalteringly, fully, endearingly, and overwhelmingly loved by GOD, my FATHER and CREATOR.

DOE just keeps giving me reasons to appreciate both her expression of her faith, as revealed through her beautiful heart, and her artistry.
