Shouldn't ray only have 8 valakut trigger since u need to control 5 mountains b4 it triggers

I dont know if ray could have killed lynch there. Valakut says if you control 5 other mountains, so 5 lands would have had to enter before valakut and THEN damage would have started at that point.

Unless im interpreting that wrong.
