The Legend of Chris Zorich

Chris Zorich was a defensive tackle who played for the Chicago Bears from 1991 to 1997.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, the two-time All-American and 1990 Lombardi Award winner was selected by the Chicago Bears in the 2nd round (49th overall) of the 1991 NFL Draft.

After spending his first two years backing up legendary Chicago Bears like Steve McMichael and William Perry, he emerged as a starter in 1993.

From there he went on to start three years for the Bears earning a Pro-Bowl nod in 1993. In his seven years with the Bears, he started 49 games, registered 15.5 sacks and had 314 tackles.

He is remembered most as a hometown kid with limited athletic ability who overcame extreme odds to become a star player on his hometown team.
