I must go here.
ОтветитьEltie Dangerous, my favorite space game.
ОтветитьLove it, you made my day. More of these please. Every time I think Elite can't amaze me more; it does.
ОтветитьNeutron Start? 😝
ОтветитьBlack holes are done so boring in this game.
ОтветитьIn EDSM i got the location to a system with 4 black holes, 2 sets of bianarys, and a neutron star with a large ring and a white dwarf and a few other stars all in one system. I went there but was afraid to get close to the black holes cuz i had 200 mil in exp data. i plan to go back. i really like how EDSM keeps track of how much data you have while on a long trip. MYNOAW AA-A H26.
ОтветитьI've yet to ride the neutron start highway in Eltie dangerous
ОтветитьGo to Screake KG-Y E611. It's a tiny nebula with a black hole.
Ответитьso are black holes only formed from the aftermath of super novae? thanks!
ОтветитьGreat video :)
ОтветитьYour timing is ludicrous, I needed this yesterday so badly I would have saved so much time lol but thank you none the less
ОтветитьThat 50km exclusion zone is still quite safe for a black hole of that mass
That black hole is shown to have a 11.2539 solar masses (taken from the info on your system map) leading to a Schwarzschild radius of only 33.244 km... just saying
Astro, I have a question. You talk about distance, age, etc, but, how accurate is Elite making systems compared with real space?
ОтветитьIve been parked at colonia for a while now got a fuel scoop engineer finally.
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you! I'm curious about seeing more interesting systems.
ОтветитьBtw in your title it says Eltie Dangerous not Elite...
ОтветитьExcellent video, your a great astronomy teacher
ОтветитьGreat video.
Do everyone a service and take over the official ED streams ;)
I really wish they would make the event horizon completely black. I would also really like to see 2 types of black holes in Elite -
1]. Dormant black hole: the type you see in the game already, just a naked black hole, it would behave the same way it does now.
2. Active black hole: Has an accretion disk. The black hole would have an exclusion zone similar to a neutron star or white dwarf. If you get too close, you are dropped out of supercruise and suffer catastrophic systems overload like when you're in the exclusion zone of the aforementioned stars. It would add a legitimate and real threat of destruction from the most powerful object in the universe that we know of.
How are the distant stars so bright in your game? For me they aren't nearly as bright.
ОтветитьSeems they are keeping that FSD jumps into black holes to make em wormholes in future!
ОтветитьI think something they should add to Elite dangerous are lost planets planets that have no star and just float aimlessly in the middle of space orbiting Sagittarius A It's self
ОтветитьWhere do you get the animations of the nebula and the neutron stars, black holes? It looks like from in game, but I don't or can't find that when I find interesting systems.
Ответитьfrom the time of this video, has anything changed in regards to the exclusion zone around a black hole? Still can’t choose death by spaghettification?
ОтветитьA class 1a supernova is when a white dwarf accretes enough mass to overcome its electron degeneracy pressure (hence forming the exact mass limit); it is not when a double blue giant or anything other than a white dwarf goes nova.
ОтветитьI can't get spaghettified......Uninstall lol
Ответитьfound an icy body orbiting a few ls away from a hot red giant. explain that one please.
Ответитьclickbait picture. oof
Ответитьin the early days of ED you could fly through black holes (my first trip to Sag A* I could still move through it and I also flew through the one everyone visits first (Mitaka A)).
The effect was really nice with the 'doughnut' just closing in around you. Sadly they removed that and put in the hard exclusion. ...And yeah: in those days droppining into a system that only contained one black hole looked scary as f$%k. The fisrt time I nearly screamed because I wasn't anticipating it (on a multiple jump route bee-lining it to Sag A*)
I am a glasses wearer and I know you probably get asked dozens of times. What kind of headphones do you use and do they have a microphone?
I use Voice Attack and Will Shatner to guide my journeys.
Thank you for this video, I will definitely want to visit this system when I make my journey out to Colonia soon. BTW what is the name of this system?
ОтветитьSo much knowledge in all your videos, thank you!
ОтветитьI recently found a system with a black hole, multiple neutron stars and a white dwarf, quite the stroke of luck
ОтветитьHD 125533 has both very close and the black hole orbits the neutron star. The neutron star looks like a possible magnetar. Comdr Black Pariah
ОтветитьI always thought you be dead if you entered the "suns" black holes. Never entered one...
ОтветитьI wish black holes were more interactive. Perhaps something interesting if you fly inside. Who knows but as of now theyre boring.
ОтветитьI'm no astronomer, but I think a type 1a supernova is when a white dwarf pulls mass from a star and eventually explodes it into the universe, isn't it?
ОтветитьJust visited a system with a black hole and a neutron star orbiting each other while plotting through the neutron highway. A bit disappointed though when I realised the black hole only warps the background, not the neutron star when looking through it.
ОтветитьDryooe flyou bq-p e5-58
Black hole and neutron star. Nothing else. I just jumped into the black hole thou
lappen
ОтветитьThere's a system near Betelgeuse that has a neutron star and a black hole, the black hole is only about 3000 Ls away, but what makes it scary is that the main star in the system is a Type A star, with the neutron star orbiting it at about 20 Ls
ОтветитьSomething like this was discovered only just last year I believe. A dense object with an accretion disk with another almost as dense object that orbitted it in such a way that the second object without the disk would punch through the accretion disk twice very quickly before going out on a wide loop before coming back to do it all again.
ОтветитьIm a bit late but I was wondering if the mechanics of black holes have changed with odyssey. Im in HIP 63835 and I cant seem to get closer to the black whole than like 20LS cause im scared af.
ОтветитьReally interesting video, thanks for this!
ОтветитьAnd here I was thinking I was cool when I landed on a planet in a binary planetary system while its sister planet was eclipsing the star. I witnessed a solar eclipse on a planet 291 Ly from Earth, and I was ecstatic. For those wondering, the game darkens and brightens the surface as the eclipse progresses, and it shows the motion of the planet across the star occuring in real time.
ОтветитьIa supernova only occurs with CO white dwarves in a binary system reaching the Chandrasekhar limit, not blue giant collapsing at the end of their main sequence, these are type II supernova.
ОтветитьBrilliant video thank you Dave 👍
Ответитьreally crushed star and very crushed star system
ОтветитьWhat is the system name
Ответить
