ОтветитьHi sir, can I use btcrecover to retrieve the information in an encrypted file after my pc has been formatted? the file contains my seedphrase. I didnt generate the key before my pc has been formatted. thank you in advance! I really need an answer to this before I say goodbye to my wallet
ОтветитьIf someone had your seed and wanted to try to brute force your passphrase, if the hacker's system were capable of say 10 billion tries per second, doesn't his system need to get 10 billion responses per second from your device/blockchain, to know if was a successful try or not? (or FB for example. Isn't the hackers attempts limited by how fast FB could respond if the password is correct or not?)
ОтветитьGreat videos, and I feel I'm a few steps closer to recover my coins. I have a Bitcoin Wallet file from 2014 that is password protected. I don't remember the password of course, and I have some ideas about what it might be, but it didn't work to enter them manually. What command do I use to brute force password on that file? Thanks
ОтветитьWill this works If I lost my trezor passphrase and only have ronin wallet assets? Should I change the ronin: to 0x like you did in the recovery seedphrase for it to work? And do I need the xpub key of my trezor? THanks man
Ответитьthanks for the informative video, I do have question when I trying to recover by Trezor with 12 mnemonic and I forgot the passphase for the hidden wallet, when I run the command it pop the mnemonic length is incorrect and will need to reconfigure the --mnemonic-length to 12.. however the script pop up " --mnemonic-length" is not a recognize argument, any idea please?
ОтветитьI am assuming you put your 24 word recovery phrase in the file tokens-BF-double.txt ? is that correct? as I never saw them entered.

ОтветитьHi,
I bought a new Trezor T hardware wallet and then connect and paired with the Exodus account. So,everything was paired and connected perfectly with my Exodus desktop account and my Trezor T hardware wallet .
Hence, I made my first transfer of ETH & BTc.
So, I was happy but the problem came when I connect with my Trezor T wallet now it did not automatically detect it and wanted me to pair the device with my Exodus account again. I can see the name with my portifilo balance of Trezor on my Exodus account.
It is asking me for BIP 39 every time. Hence, looks like I have forgotten or it does not match the passphrase that I have set up at first.
I have all my 12 -seed words with me.
Hope you can help me with this.
Your help on this matter is appreciated.
Great video, thank you.
ОтветитьCan you help me get the pass phase recovered
ОтветитьHi Steve - I have an AirGap wallet on my iOS with a lost BIP-39 that needs to be recovered. Is there a way to apply this method?
ОтветитьGreat video! I was wondering if it was possible to reduce the number of words in the BIP39 English set, in order to reduce computing times (knowing which words can be ignored). Simply removing some words from the .txt file makes the software stop with an error
ОтветитьAny chance you can recover the 12 word phrase for coinbase please
Ответитьwhen you lost your password, type wrong 3 times on ledger and lost recovery phrase, no way to recover it to access to the fund right ?
ОтветитьHi! Awesome video but I have a question -
Is the --bip32-path "m/44'/60'/0'/0" command necessary to specify? Isn't this the default if nothing is specified? Please share.
Hey, would something like this work on a Samourai wallet. I have my 12 word seed, a recent wallet address and the encrypted wallet file but don't have my passphrase as I'm an idiot and thought I wrote it down, but didnt!!
ОтветитьHey i have a question. I use trezor and have selected a 25 word. But if i would run that, do my 24 words touch the internet and is my trezor then better moved to trash after i found the password ? Thanks

ОтветитьHi. I have my 24 words, and the 25th is a LONG combination of multiple words (many probably not in a wordlist). Can I add those individual words to the world list and it cycles through various combinations? Would that work in recovering the 25th word?
ОтветитьDoes BTCRecover work with the latest Python version, 3.11?
ОтветитьHi. I need to recover a passphrase. I sent multiple legacy BTC to 1 Bech32 address on Ledger.
I still have access to Ledger Live so should I use the xpub for the 1 Bech32 address where everything was sent to (and still exists), or one of the legacy addresses wherein the balance is 0? Cheers!

ОтветитьGreat instructions, I made some test files to make sure I was doing it correctly. And it worked great, however, when I have tried this on my Trezor Safe 3, only having the 12 word seed and not having the passphrase, no success, is it even possible with the Trezor Safe 3?
Thank you!

ОтветитьHi I need to recover a jumbled up 24 word I know the first word but some others have been jumbled but the words should be more or less sequential how can I contact you to employ your services thanks
ОтветитьHi, great videos! Thank you for all the effort and time putting in making them.
I have been following your vids for the past 3 weeks trying to BF the bip39 passphrase which I had forgotten or mistyped. I did the passwordlist and came up with a long list of possible pwds I could think of with different versions, combinations of possible letters and symbols that I normally use. All came back with the dread screen/response: none matched... I am thinking it's either my derivation path which wasn't correct or the first receiving address I used. Is this the receiving address generated from the bip39 passphrase or the address from the default wallet? I have the Bitbox02 which I believe using this derivation path: m/48'|49'|84'/0'/0' (whichever one is applicable to the receiving address). For the receiving address I went to the account and looked at the transaction history to find the last address receiving the coin? I basically used all the addresses that found from the date I believe I transferred the coins to this bip39 passphrase wallet. All resulted in none matched. What could've been missing? Thanks very much.
Thank you for all the effort and hard work you put in for your videos and the great tool to help the world of crypto.
I forgot my passphrase on Trezor Model T and I can't access my coins. All I have in is ERC Tokens not bitcoin. Can I use the tool to brute force recover the passphrase or the tool only works for bitcoin address?
Thank you!
Hi, great videos! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to helping the community.
I've been following your tutorials closely and have run into a couple of issues I hope you can help with:
I'm having trouble with the Bitcoin wallet type in btcrecover. Even after trying different configurations, I keep getting "Skipped all 0 passwords, exiting" as the result. Any insights on what might be causing this?
I noticed that when running btcrecover with the Ethereum wallet type, it displays a message like "Starting btcrecover 1.13.0-Cryptoguide on Python 3.12.3 64-bit, 21-bit unicodes, 64-bit ints". However, this message doesn't appear when using the Bitcoin wallet type. Is this an indication of something specific to the Ethereum wallet type?
Thanks again for your amazing content and support!
Hey I don’t remember my trezor passphrase. I remember what words were in it, but I also put numbers and an ! At the end. Is it possible for me to brute force this?I know what the address is
ОтветитьThanks you for the vidéeo ! i'm noob in code but i gonna try, my seed phrases is good and i know at 80% what is my passphrase but the challenge is to setup this tool.

Will BTCRecover find legacy keys or related info on an old hard drive?
Example: Will it look for alphanumeric combinations extending longer than 60 characters on the hard drive, Then display or match it with the blockchain addresses??
Thank you for the Tool! I'm trying to decrypt the Metamask file. unfortunately so far without success. Is it possible to test all passwords with a length of 8-10?
ОтветитьHi, I am going to need your help, but I only speak Spanish. I don't know if that's going to be a problem.

ОтветитьHello there.
I have the words and the zpub in my cellphone, with some transactions in a wallet app, but I don't remember the passphrase.
My cpu is an i3-10105.
Do you think it will work?
I am not tech saavy. How much do you charge? I do not remember my passphrase. Someone told me it may be the derivative path of ledger when the computer's firmware was updated.
