This is not a small place, it’s big, my dear. I live in an 80 s.m. and I have to throw the table with the 6 chairs, a corner sofa, the table in front of the sofa….. Also, I have my piano and my office. Gosh!! I have to change everything here, there is no room and I need much money.

Whoever came up with open concept must have fallen and hit their head. You could not even give me a house that is open concept. Who wants a Kitchen in there Livingroom, give me a wall and separate all the spaces. I do not want to be relaxing in the Livingroom watching TV and hear people in the Kitchen rattling dishes, pots and pans and talking, or a dining room in your Livingroom and all you hear is people sitting around the table talking. What a stupid design, each room needs its own space with walls and entry ways, maybe with doors, you can decorate each space with the theme of that space. I do not like sitting in the Livingroom, look to my left or right and see my Fridge and a Kitchen counter, how stupid is that.

I have an open space with a long wall. In the center, there is a kitchen. In the dining room, I would like to put cabinets with a wine cooler and glass doors for wine glasses, etc like a bar. Is it possible to change the color and design or should I keep the same color and design that I have in the kitchen?

What is your opinion to combine kitchen island with dining table? I want a huge island and I have the space for it, but that will run into the nook area. That is the reason why I am wanting to do a combo, but do you think that is a trend that will fade out or is this something that you see lasting a while.

5. Be consistent with the flooring
6. Define the areas
a. Use rugs with similarities and contrast
b. Use furniture
c. Use architectural features
7. Use different lighting sources with
8. Consider flow and traffic (Define the zones, measure the space)
