Do you need a master degree to get hired by a firm or agency as a graphic designer? I’ve been admitted to an MA in design with a sustainability angle. I’m so afraid I will not be able to make a living. I’ve also been admitted to teacher training to become a qualified art teacher. I’m thinking I could do visual communication as a part time job aside from teaching. Could I make it in the industry if my degree is in teaching and fine art? Or must I have a design degree? If I choose the ma in design, I’m afraid I won’t get a job during a recession. My mind is in a loop. I need to make a decision. Also, I don’t have time or money to make mistakes. Any helpful advice is much appreciated.

I graduated last year with a Graphic and Communication Design Degree in Canada. I got an internship with a company in the UK, for 3 months, my internship is coming to end, but I hope it will lead to a job with the company. I love graphic design because it is such a high-demand job nowadays and there are so many opportunities in this industry!

Why is it hard to find a job in this industry I just graduated from college this year in May and I had two internships in the graphic design field and I can’t get a interview. I’m thinking that maybe it’s me and thinking what I’m doing wrong but I know I can the job I wish companies would give someone a chance. I have done everything that I research to get a job and still nothing I hope something would come out so I can have a job.

So would you say that graphic design is for someone who doesn't like big groups, introverted and I am artistic and I suffer with getting severe red face when people talk to me not always but when i feel crowded around or feel like a spotlight is on me I do.
