DF has referred to his voice as a "necessary evil" but I like it and wish he would sing directly into the mic more - feel ripped off on a bunch of the lyrics. Just the same this is AWESOME! Thanks for the great seat!

It was 1979, I worked for a Greek carryout in Bmore, Damitris on Patterson Ave, I was 16years old, my boss son turned me on to Steely Dan , I haven't stop listening to them yet, iam now 61 years old and I steel gotta jam with them, they were truly a bomb pair of musicians!

What a surprise they did the whole album!! But then there are no bad songs on RS. Loved it to death when it came out, listened to it non-stop and still love it, never gets old!! 💯🎵🎶♥️
Always loved Haitian divorce and Green earrings - but on the latter there's a one of a kind lick on the studio recording, like I never heard anyone play before or after!! Impossible to re-create or imitate!!! 💯🎵🎶

Steely Dan still moves my soul as they did when they first released their songs. So many levels and so much depth in so many songs. No one makes music like this any more. The Royal Scam is one of my all time favorites, but Dr Wu and Don't Take Me Alive surely rank with The Royal Scam.

IMO This was Steely Dan's best album.

Royal Scam was always my favorite album. Missed this tour but saw them twice before.

I got this album in 8 track back in 1979 when I was in the eighth grade.
My 8 track player ate it weeks after getting it. I ended up buying another 8 track of "The Royal Scam" to replace the one that was damaged.
I still have it. I have all of the Steely Dan albums from "Can't Buy A Thrill" to "Everything Must Go", along with all four of Donald Fagen's solo albums. I like them all. "The Royal Scam" is my favorite.

great audio but buy a tripod and keep your hand off of the zoom control. Stay on one subject. Your quality will improve immediately. If you want more shot variety, get a friend to shoot the same way, and then edit the footage. : )

Man that version of The Fez in Spanish is absolutely killing.

Again.. great music quality but the videography is pretty bad. What's with the blacking out of screen just to change a featured player? Why not just keep a wider pan of the stage to see what the audience sees? And THEN... Zoom into to video the solo(Guitar, singers, brass) I KNOW you can do it!
