Holiday Card Series 2024 - Day 9 - Watercolor BetterPress Cards

So beautiful, Kristina. Love your color choices. I am still on the fence about Betterpress, but this is nudging me to yes as the heat embossing worked out so well.

These are beautiful. I didn’t realize you could use paper other than the BetterPress paper. I have a lot of watercolor paper.

Loving the series. Very energized after seeing your beautiful easy to do watercolor techniques, I have my sets out again.
I suffer from Sarcopenia syndrome which has rendered me basically useless. It’s now affected my legs and my
HANDS are under attack now. I recently found another article that was about the symptoms of Vit D deficiency, so I’m fighting it. Lots of research just to help my hands so I can craft again. I think watercolor will be my medium to start again. Thank you for the inspiration.

Gorgeous cards! I never cut down my panel until after I've pressed/foiled. Wish Spellbinders could figure out a way to make the placement more precise. Foiling is even worse in that regard.

TFS gorgeous cards! I’m not purchasing anything new for the rest of the year because I have tons of stuff. No more room plus too much is sometimes difficult to choose what to do, if that makes sense? It’ll be a big seller though for sure!

That is beautiful card. The reason why your plate didn't line up. Is you didn't put better press to better press. You had the platin better press on top and your plastic plate you had it on bottom. I've learned that they don't line up if they're upside down and not better press the better press.

Try turning your press plate around..

My BetterPress clear plate doesn't line up perfectly either for the A2 sizing. It's a quirk, I guess, that we learn to adjust to it but regardless, I absolutely love my BetterPress system! I did find that it works better in my Gina K Intri-Cut than my other die cutting machines (always had to use shims often didn't get a great result), so I'm very glad I bought the Intri-Cut. I have the Press Plate you used and I wouldn't have thought to use it with Versamark and watercolor paper. The cards are gorgeous. You, Kristina, are a genius!

I was just looking at this plate when I got the notification for your video. Lol. Great timing. I was wondering if it would work in the Glimmer machine? I've never tried a Better Press plate with the Glimmer Machine. But I've heard they work for hot foiling too. Do you know if they do?

Beautiful watercolor backgrounds. Thanks for letting us know that heat embossing works with these plates. I don't have the Betterpress but I use the plates for hot foiling so I'm pretty sure I can get the same results even if I have to use the hot foil carrier not heated up. Some gorgeous designs have been released in Betterpress plates. I very glad they also work for hot foiling. I buy too much stuff as it is and I have NOWHERE to put another large tool. PS - Loving the OCC So Very Merry classes!

Love these! I have the same plate and need to do some. Didn't even think about using embossing powders with the Better Press.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful designs. I am looking at my Betterpress plates, which I have not yet used, and noticing that they don’t quite line up exactly either. They are better one lined up 1 way than the other. So happy you mentioned it! I will keep my paper larger when printing in the future.

AMAZING CARDS! LOV'EM!!!! Btw, I keep wondering why "Betterpress" did not come with a tack side yet at the paper positioning top?!?!?!? ( how about that spray in order not using tapes?!).......🤷‍♀

Beautiful cards thank you. I have read you need the Spellbinders logo to be facing the same way ( on top of each other) then the marks for A2 line up perfectly.

I have found that the gray mat moves in the chase. If you move the grey mat to one end and all the way to one side it lines up better. You would then need to tape it in place so it doesn’t shift when run through the machine. Hope this helps! Beautiful card!!! ❤

Beautiful…leave the paper untrimmed until you press the design and then you can get that design centered by trimming it after.
