I'm LGBT+ and Taash annoyed the hell out of me. The writing was so dogshit, that it made me feel like i could have a future in writing if the bar is really this low. I waited 10 years for DA:VG and have already ended up refunding my purchase. The environmental graphics were the only good thing about it, but i would've preferred the budget shift more money towards better quality writing staff. I had more fun in Anthem ngl. I used my refund to join the Monster Hunter: Wilds Beta, and am already enjoying it much more.

As high-octane, Testosterone-fueled as Space Marine 2 was, DA:VG was oozing Estrogen.

I've never been more excited to not support a BioWare game. It's not hard to find another RPG whose lead director doesn't believe that being a woman is as simple as putting on a dress, makeup, and stuffing a bra.

Main problem isn't even it being woke. Dragon Age and Mass Effect have both always been pretty queer and women friendly. The main problem is that pretty much every senior writer that worked on both series left the studios years ago, leaving plots unfinished and other people to fill in the gaps. Visual artists, as well.
The fact the game kept getting delayed for their other projects was a givaway it was going to be pretty bad from the get-go, idk why anyone is surprised rly....

So BioWare is now just EA in disguise. No wonder they have been a failure for so long.

Im only about 2-3 hours into veilguard. Im trans, and i was initially excited that there was the possibility for me to put that aspect into my character....BUT THE DIALOG WITH VARRICS MIRROR AND WITH LUCANIS WERE SO OFFPUTTING!!!! I prefer the old DA interactions, they felt way more real and less preachy.

I realized that i hate the modern vg industry and the ppl that run it. Vg was always my favorite hobby, magical, always happy and positive. Taking me away from the real world problems and letting me live in a fantasy while i played. Now its nothing but adversarial and disappointing. These ppl are truly unhappy, angry ppl and they want everyone else to be with them. Theyre just evil

The problem is not trans or non binary characters being in this game. The problem is the shitty writing and the art style. The dumbing down of the gameplay, when they could have used the best parts of the previous installments (game mechanics etc.)
