Love DQ9
ОтветитьDragon quest 2,3,4 the best 5 the hand of the heavenly bride wasnt bad.
ОтветитьCurrently playing 5
Haven’t played to many yet but so far 9 is my favorite and was my first dragon quest game. I am going to play 11 soon and then 3 when the new Hd 2D remake comes out
I love the DQ series, got hooked as a kid from the first one Nintendo gave out for free. I especially love DQ Builders, those games were really fun and had great callbacks to / retellings of some of the old stories. Also Rocket Slime on the DS! Loved that too, wish we'd gotten the sequel in the West :(
ОтветитьDq1 you were erdrick decendant, not erdrick
Original iv you couldnt use manual fighting for your party in ch 5.
Few mistakes in the video and you shoulda showed off originals, not remakes, but overall i enjoyed the video.
Been playing Dragon Warrior since before I could read, always loved them. Had all 4 of the NES titles. Loved playing the SNES games with fan translations. Loved Dragon Warrior 7. But when Enix merged with Square and they decided to change how they did localisations...ugh. Was not a big fan of that. So the remakes of my favorite games in the series having horribly painful to read phonetic accents, and name changes to align with new puns that weren't in the original Japanese never sat right with me. So as a long time fan I kind of feel like I fell through the cracks over the years, and while the games themselves are still good, the bad localisations have just made them really difficult for me to enjoy fully. I did slog through DQ8 (and it helped to turn off the voices). And I don't own a DS, nor do I like to play long RPG's on hand held so I skipped out on DQ9.
I am a big fan of DQ11 though. And the nice thing about that game is that it's on PC which means there are mods to make the localisations more palatable. My wish going forward is for ALL of the games and remakes to end up on PC eventually as well.
Dude you played Dragon Quest 8 on 3ds? Blasphemy!!!! Dragon quest 8 was the first in the series to have voice acting, and it's voice acting is perfection. You MUST play this on PS2, don't play dumb phone version or 3ds version. Gross
ОтветитьDragon Quest 3 is a masterpiece
ОтветитьI watch this video while grinding in DQ XI
ОтветитьI like to consider DQ3 and 4 as 2 games in 1: one for the male protagonist, and the other for the female. The differences are minimal, sure, but given the fact the choice is goven at the beginning it's cool you can choose the version of the game you prefer to play.
ОтветитьDragon Quest VIII is one of the greatest games of all time
ОтветитьThe prince Loto who is a descendent of Erdrick???!!!
NO.
Thumbed down for ads after every game portion. Fuck off
ОтветитьI love DQ8, 11, and 4....in that order.
ОтветитьI perfer 3 and am currently trying to complete 9 right now
ОтветитьSuch a great series, and unlike final fantasy its stuck true to its roots but is always adding to the game while keeping it dragon quest, they use spin off games to try diffrent formulas and not the main serires, final fantasy is unrecognizable now because they decided to use the main line games for experimentation instead of spin off games, which ruined the series
ОтветитьLove 8. There is de maker on switch.
ОтветитьI played Dragon Warrior (Dragon Quest 1) when it was out. And could not for the life of me get anywhere. It was extremely confusing.
ОтветитьNote: Erdrick is not the hero's name, it's a title given to him
ОтветитьOh god that background music is so loud. Really annoying with headphones
Ответитьthere was no point in mentioning the sugiyama thing, it was just really tacky
ОтветитьIt just hit me that DQ5's protag canonically has fucked.
ОтветитьIts Dhoulmagus.... pronounced as in (Dull - May - Gus)
ОтветитьDragon Quest 4 was the first game in the series I played, but I never finished it. I remember getting to the 5th chapter and getting stuck as a kid. I do remember loving that you play as different characters in each chapter, but I also remember hating that once you got to chapter 5, the big guy who runs a shop (if I remember correctly) becomes useless as he just loafs around in battle.
The first one in the series I've finished was the first game just today on Switch. I haven't really played many other mainline entries in the series despite now owning all of them except I think 5 and 6.
What about Dragon Quest 10?
Ответить"Dragon Quest 2: Luminaries of the Legendary Line was released on the famicom..."
Yeah, you all didnt played these games, or even bother to research a little of what are you talking about.
Dragon Quest 2 was called DQ2: Pantheon of the Evil Spirits in its original japanese name, what you said it was its Mobile /Switch name on the west.
I wish we got the 3ds version of DQ XI on the 3ds in the west. I think they also got the first 3 on 3ds in Japan as well, so they can play every game on the 3ds.
ОтветитьI say play 5 before 11 since it's on mobile, but either are great.
ОтветитьDragon Quest is the most consistent JRPG franchise ever.
ОтветитьI've been looking for Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games on the DS/3DS to play. It sucks that there's like, 3 entire main Dragon Quest entries on DS/3DS that were never released in english. As for Final Fantasy, the only main-line games on the DS/3DS were remakes of 3 and 4. No original main-line games, at all. And not much at ALL on the 3DS.
I love JRPGs in general. But at the same time, I haven't played a ton of 'em. I've never really touched Final Fantasy 1-6 (otherwise known as the 2D FF games). I played 7 and 8, but not 9. I played FFX, but not X-2. I played 12, owned by never really played 13, haven't touched 14, and played 15.
As for Dragon Quest, I haven't touched any of them outside of the more recent XI on Xbox, and even then I only played that for like 2-3 hours.
I really like 'em, but at the same time, I have a hard time finding one that clicks with me, ya know? It's hard for me to trudge through a grindy RPG if I don't really get into it. If it hooks me though, I'll sit and play for ages. Then again, I'm also limited to Xbox, DS, 3DS, or Game Boy and Game Boy Advance. Anything on any other console, I can't play.
I think I might be one of the only people who didn't care much for V and thought of it one of the weaker in series. I played it on the DS, and just felt grindy, unfun, and so dependent on luck... And honestly, would rank it as one of my worst DQ experiences. Yeah, having your family come along is cool... but they just ended up feeling more necessary then the monsters, even though a lot of monsters had better abilities. It also didn't help that you were at the mercy of the RNG gods for stuff that was almost mandatory to get through the game. Need a healer? lol there are a few monsters that can help, and you might have to go out of your way to even run into them, and even then you have a pretty damn low chance for them to join. But it's ok, your son can get them a few levels before the end boss... I went 80% or so through the game without any kind of dedicated healer because I couldn't find one, regardless of the grind. But Hey, you're son learns Multi-Heal, a spell the earliest it can be learned is level 8 on some monsters, and only 6 monsters can get it, but your son can get it at level 30! But also He's one of my main damage dealers! And can still only heal everyone for next to nothing...
ОтветитьIf you want to replay the first 3 DQ games, I really don't recommend the Switch """"""remakes""""", they are graphically pretty bad and miss content from previous remakes, it's just the NES games but with mobile game graphics.
If you want to replay them, I recommend the DQ 1 + 2 Collection on SNES and the GBC remake of DQ3 (yeah those are old games, but I'm sure you'll find a way to play them *wink wink*)
I just ordered dragon quest 8 for my 3ds can’t wait I love the fact it’s got full in voice story not even fire emblem has that. I’ll play with my headphones on.
ОтветитьDragon Quest 9 is my comfort game. I have some really heavy nostalgic vibes (i came into the gaming world late dont judge hahaha)
Ответитьhappy 35th anniversary dragon quest!!! :3
ОтветитьI can't make out what the speaker is saying over the game audio for some of these titles.
ОтветитьThank you for this
ОтветитьDragon Quest is actually a way more experimental series than I though
ОтветитьYesterday I finished Dragon Quest 11 S as my very first Dragon Quest game. I'm taking a bit off before I start the Tickington quests, and once I'm done, I'm gonna decide which game to play next.
ОтветитьAh yes
I
II
III
IV
V
VI
VII
VIII
IX
X
XI
Heard about DQ when VIII came out. I thought the Voice Acting was great, along with the
difference between day and night. Sometimes I would stop playing just to watch some of the fantastic Sunsets, or to watch the Moon move slowly through the sky. I would play it with different builds, the best one was a 'No Weapons'' using only hand or magic attacks.
The fact that DQ Monsters is dead in the West makes me depressed.
Ответить"if you play one DQ game it should probably be 11 on switch"
Lmao no real fan in their right mind would say that 11 is better than 5 or 8, in any reality
9 was the cleanest in the series. I remember making up stories on how me and my friends characters would meet up end be in a party. We used to compare who had the most impact in battles and etc. they need to bring it back or just make a new one for ps5 or something
ОтветитьDragon quest 8 was my all time fav I’ve played and beaten it like 20 times I liked trying different builds to play through
ОтветитьThe deadpan cafe externally cough because calf substantively water pace a cluttered gasoline. loving, energetic friend
ОтветитьGoresby Purrvis was the hardest boss in DQ9. Literally a samurai cheetah.
Ответить7 is my personal favorite one.
