why are rockets painted white? does it makes sense to paint them non-white so that we can see the condition of them as they launch or are we more concerned about them being seen in space? To my point of view all rockets would be seen on radar, so I don't see how non-white is an issue. is there really any reason they cant be black, yellow, red or even green?

Don't worry about the moon mission. Boeing is building the American booster, so everything is fine. LOL Plus, it's only like 5 years between launches.

China will get to the moon before the US. Mark this comment!! The way the Chinese government works, the way they are chasing space superiority, the way they are throwing money at their space programme, NASA is hopeless to win this 'race.'

A satelite in orbit that quickly can deliver a payload to anywhere under its orbit. I wonder what that is intended to test out...

What payloads could sit for years, be strategic in usage/ timing, and be able to accept massive costs... 🙄🫡👏

I'm incredibly impressed with the Chinese space programme. The frequency and reliability is well above what I expected. I had very high hopes for the Indian space programme and of course it is impressive when considered on its own, but in comparison with the rest of the world, it has become somewhat underwhelming. And what on earth are the Europeans doing? Are they even trying?

It's interesting to see how many solid rockets the Chinese are suddenly launching. It's almost like they have some excess capacity as a result of their ICBM program, or something. Due to their low Isp, solids aren't what you would normally choose for satellite launch.

Scott there is another launch this weekend at a Florida model rocket club it's a new 6 footer as the gap in performance between it and the BO rocket is about the same as as the performance gap between BO and starship you should cover that to.

I think its weird that Space X are experiencing so many second stage problems all of a sudden... the 1st stage problems can be explained by being reused so much.. but the two combined. I wonder if SpaceX has begun cutting corners? Or its complacensy because its getting "mundane" - kind of how complacensy caused the shuttle accidents.

Also man - China is really ramping up. If they did not have so low regards to where they drop their stages I would be more excited about it.

IR laser beamed to earth? I thought the global warming issue was IR not being able to escape the planet... seems counter productive to beam focuses IR light down to earth 😂

Its so annoying they launch Starship when i have to catch a ferry... I guess ill watch it a bit later right after it all has ended.

I believe that the Vulcan Centaur issue didn't cause it to exceed the limits of the mission profile and though some debris was dropped it was dropped in a designated hazard area that shipping had been told to keep out of. Basically ULA & SpaceX both had spongey brakes, ULA managed to stop at the red light but SpaceX couldn't and got citations for both (Second stage) incidents (Because they dropped debris in areas that hadn't been cleared or had any kind of warning)
