The Epson LS12000B ist a very good Projector but you dont have to pay 4 times the amount of money to get a better Picture, you can spend 1.000 dollars more for a JVC NP5 and get a noticable better Picture, with better black levels and so on. But still a great beamer.

I just noticed that Jake and Luke have the same laugh although Luke is a little more boisterous laugh.

The more of his content I watch, the more a stunning realization hits me. This man is considered as the king of tech and computer content and owns a tech business, all while having a cripplingly chronic case of butter-fingers. At this point, I suspect there's some kind of inexplicable correlation between the cost of something and his likehood of fumbling it.

After having bought 2 Epson projectors, the 5010 and the 5030ub, and ending having some vertical lines showing randomly right after the end of manufacturer's warranty and becoming permanent after 2 months, I will never buy an other Epson projector again. I hope Linus will make an update video when he will experience the same problem.

Using this without an alr screen (high contrast screen) is blasphemy! black levels could be like 50% better ..and thats a conservative estimate!

These days, most people would probably enjoy a good (really good) ALR screen. ALR does two things, one being rejects ambient light, and the second being focusing the light from the projector to the viewer, this also creating less ambient light spill. But an SI Black Diamond screen is thousands.

If you dont black out all completly the projector deosnt stand a chance about contrast to any TV. I own several Epson Laser projectors more expensive than this one. They are all amazing. but picture quality cant compete with a TV

You are not going to get the ultimate home theater experience with that projector. It's a great projector for the price, but not the ultimate experience. As for spending 4 times the amount to get parity, you can get a better projector for less than twice the price.
