Ответитьkinda happy and sad i decided not to go newcastle cex
ОтветитьI'm off to see Thunderbolts tomorrow, then maybe MI on monday. I'm quite lucky as I have like 12 free tickets for the year to see what I want thanks to a bank customer perk. Not that I need them to go, I go as many times as I would like without needing them. But its nice to have. I don't go to the cinema as much as I used to simply for the fact as if the films are coming out so soon on digital or whatever, I'd be silly to pay twice. I'm a cinefile at heart and have been fortunate/unfortunate to work in that industry for several years being on the odd set or working at Odeon and Blockbuster and been able to meet several stars/producers/directors, etc. My knowledge isn't as great as it used to be but my knowledge and understanding of cinema will be a lot better a lot of people out there. I used to really want to be a screenwriter and wrote a couple scripts but never sent to agents. Plus even though what I have wrote would be perfectly fine for todays audience, I would refuse to tweak it or alter it suit the woke bull crap or Gen-Z nonsense about being offended by things that aren't even offensive, within a certain context of course. The world needs more heroes and people like Joey Swoll.
And to be honest, it isn't the old days where the film came out then you had to wait a year to watch it at home. The Grinch is a prime example: came out in Christmas 200 but wasn't released on DVD until Christmas 2001. That really didn't change until Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland where Disney wanted to released it 10 weeks after its cinema release date, and the people at Odeon went mad because no film had ever been released that early at home from its cinema date, so Odeon said it would stop showing the film, then disney hit back by saying they wouldn't allow Odeon to show there next two releases with one being the kids film G-Force, and with it being a summer holiday release, which would've been a blow to odeon, especially of a film boasting a voice cast of Nic Cage, Penelope Cruz, Sam Rockwell, amongst others at that time of the year. A compromise was reached of 12-13 weeks in the end. You have to remember, the UK cinema is so minimal compared to other countries around europe and the world, it would have a impact but not that much.
