I realize you're not van lifing full-time , but I appreciate the simpler builds. I never understand investing so much money into something that will eventually need to be replaced. There are various reasons for van life. For me, less is more. Keep it clean and comfortable.

Hiya, wonderful! I’m getting a transit, and a friend will help me duplicate it. Can you please tell me the height at the back, where your bins are, from floor to underside of the bed? I have lotsa bins, but they be too high. Great design.

basic build for sure...with no kitchen or bath area and small ...gather spends more time outside...but when bad weather...what then?

Perfect application for what I want to do; camping out in the desert two or three nights, now and then, with some buddies. Now I've just got to find a good deal on a van. Thanks.

I'd add an air vent or two... those lowered windows using the rain guards make breaking those windows 10 times easier to bust open- less than one second. You'd instantly be trapped by a robber.
Safer is better.

Your van looks great for you! My boys are working on a 2013 transit con. for me right now! In my younger days, I loved backpacking, so the size of my van feels like it'll be great. I'd appreciate if you'd do a quick video showing your shelf , above, attached to the front seat shelf. And tell again, in a little more detail, how you attached it. THANKS for your video. I have one. I recommend extending the shelf above the seats, for convenient storage.
