I don't understand the "don't feel pressure" thing. Like yeah some people buy goods to support but also some people just WANT the stuff. It's not pressure. They're missing out on limited-time exclusive goods. Cover COULD eat the costs or keep things held in a warehouse until tariffs are gone (if they ever go away). There are ways around it. But the best way would be for them to actively call out the person at fault.

Something I've always wondered about this stupid trade war - if the conflict is between the country that produces most stuff, and the country that buys most of it, why would you ever side with the consumers? The US is the end of the global supply chain, we were in fact the ones to set that up, we shipped manufacturing overseas. Still need stuff, though. Not vtuber merch, that's not necessary to live yet, but you know, food and steel and iphones. That's not an opt-out. China needs to sell just as badly, sure, but why do they need to sell to us specifically if we're going to be so belligerent? They have every other country in the world who can buy.

I was about to buy Marine's Bear Keychain, which cost about 20 dollars to then get hit in the face with shipping fees, taxes, and duties that brought the total to 80 dollars. Paying more for shipping than the product itself is just crazy.

Also, shipping was already expensive before the tariffs when buying Hololive merch. I hate the orange man more than the next guy, but Hololive itself needs to do more about shipping fees as well.
