Dragon clan was Tarrant's clan.

Then his descendants are weak and wicked. This is the serpent clan. It is managed by Tarrant's son which also have the same name as his.

The. The dragon was forgotten from then on. When the dragon have literally been always there.

The serpentholm (originally called the dragonholm) have ancient painting of dragon and orb , which is what literally was stated in the cutscene. Serpent and Dragon literally believed on the same God. (Dragon and the Orb).

It just appears that dragon is the newest formed clan out of the villagers, but it literally existed way back in tarrant's days (you see dragon clan peasants running). People that became serpent are just the descendant of the people that lost faith to the dragon.

In the story line it made us think that the dragon clan was rebel to serpent and that serpent is the real og clan and dragon was juat derived out of it when it literally was the opposite.

Tarrant's son which lead the serpent clan have stopped believing in the dragon, he never saw what Tarrant (his father did) all he knows is he was successful in eliminating the horde.

At the path of both kenji's journey path it was also shown.

Kenji (Dragon Clan) - did what tarrant did with the orb at the beginning and the faith to thr dragon was restored.

Kenji (Serpent Clan) - said the dragon was only a myth. They have nothing to rely on but themselves. It remained consistent throughout the entire story line. Kenji of this ending believe in the orb and the orb and the dragon are one it is the faith that gives it power so.... It just cinverges regardless. He doesn't believe in the dragon and so the dragon doesn't exist in this path.
