One feature would be extremely useful in such devices: a high precision frequency/period meter (at least 5 digits). Modern MCUs allow this without any additional hardware (only a stable quartz oscillator is needed and that's all).
ОтветитьI need to get my hands on one of these,
ОтветитьWe like good quality and competitive or reasonable pricing, always. Nice to see Darren Walker channel getting the recognition it deserves.
ОтветитьGoing legit! Curious how far the o-scope reads things...i need something that can read above 200 kHz for my power supply build. To have a multimeter with it would be cool!
ОтветитьI am waiting for the full review.. it is good that Zotek is becoming a good Chinese brand.. hope in future they will be able to give us high quality products in low price... What they promise here
Ответитьgood interviews Darren ,and the good things is Zotek provide us some affordable and good quality multimeter. zt102a is popular in my country coz the negative display make it easy to read. keep on testing 😊
ОтветитьI've got this Zoyi ZT-703S for a couple of days and sure it has some quirks (built to a price as a certain Dave would say) but for the money this is truely a no-brainer and perfect all-in-one device. I am sure they COULD fix the issue with the absent diode test beep with firmware and I hope they do.
ОтветитьI can live without all the extras as long as the company keeps the accuracy and price the same.
ОтветитьAll these budget scopemeter or mutlimeter rubber case will become kinda "gooey" or feeling bad on holding after a few years. Try using the mixture of Jxhnson's Baby Powder and Jxhnson's Baby lotion, a little rubbing and cleaning will help.
ОтветитьA visit to China for a factory tour would be very cool! 👍😎
ОтветитьHI Darren i wished you asked julie which other companies like Aneng rebrand their products and why do a lot of manufactures laser etch part numbers off chips
ОтветитьDespite my direct bad experience with Zotek sales, I really appreciate the instrumentation. Looking forward for the review!
ОтветитьI have a 702 and was surprised by the advent of the 703 so soon. (Talk to her about an upgrade to the 702!). But I already have a Owon HDS so I won't need a 703. The 702 was a no-brainer for the price and the 703 even more. I like Zotek's aggressive features and pricing. Thanks for having her.
I moved from Ottawa to Vancouver decades ago, seduced by the mountains. I did get back to ski Gatineau a few years ago. And I lived on Elgin and miss skating on the Canal (I know, not now). Maybe I should have stayed in my good gov't job, but "Regrets I have a few.....". The ironic thing is that I love cold and snow!
Great video, thank you Jully and Darren. That was very cool.
ОтветитьNice stuff. If I remember correctly, the last handheld oscilloscope/multimeter on the channel was from Zotek as well. Let's see what the upgraded version is capable of.
ОтветитьWill be interesting to see if they come out with an insulation tester in the future or a calibrator with similar functionality to the Fnirsi units with the footprint of a large rmeter. Would like to see them develop the reading storage capability and transfer of data to a pc for those instruments.
Ответить🎉🎉😊😅👍🏻
ОтветитьHi Darren. It’s very cool that a Zotec representative came to see you. I hope they are preparing something new and high quality in the future. I wanted to see new ideas and solutions from Zotec.
I would like Zotec to make a new generation of multimeters, both budget and mid-budget, and at the Unit, Fluke, Brymen level. I would like Zotec, if they copy some device, to improve this copy a little. Copying devices is not bad, the main thing is that the copy is no worse than the original or that other copy from which ZotecZOYI is copied. In general, it’s better to just do something of your own and, even in the budget segment, provide a minimum set of accuracy and functions. Don't go after other brands that shove unnecessary features into multimeters.
I would really like to see minimal multimeter protection in budget (or near budget) models. For example, so that in resistance mode you could insert probes into the socket and the multimeter would not burn out, but simply show an overload. Because there are many people who often destroy their devices in this way.
And further. Although Zotec does not do this, I would not like to see smd fuses in budget-level multimeters. It's horrible.
You both are very sweet
ОтветитьTempted to buy one the 703s to do some testing.
ОтветитьHer english is very good!
ОтветитьI'm hoping they fix the issue with the battery that Defpom pointed out. They're using a protected 18650 in a slot for unprotected - and the tension bulges out the ends. Will be likely to break in the future. I'm kinda waiting to buy one in hopes they fix some of the initial issues like that. (And like another commenter said: I hope they add a beep in the diode mode with a firmware upgrade.)
However, I'm getting impatient on getting one as I gave my old ZT-702s to a friend due to a Christmas delivery that got lost in shipping one to him. I'm thinking I may just immediately swap it out for an unprotected Samsung 30Q. But I wonder if the meter already has lithium-ion protection circuitry built in??? Could Julie/Zotek confirm if I can simply swap it out without worry?
Got one on order!
ОтветитьIs the review coming out soon? q_q
ОтветитьWhere is the full review ? Please :)
ОтветитьDoes it have a data logger, so I can log current say every minute for an hour?
ОтветитьI'm buying this 703s.. waiting for the sale now lol
ОтветитьThanks Darren for having me. I really had a great time with you! Hope you come to China to visit our factory! 🎉🎉🎉
