You nailed the vibes of my high school chemistry teacher I had in like 2002. He taught us how to make real simple two chemical b o m b s and then let us detonate/smash them behind the school because the reaction wasn’t too terribly big. He set something on fire every day for us.

I had a chemistry professor in college…the guy wore a suit vest, loafers and a pocket watch (with chain) to the first lecture. Mind you this was in Brazil and I was getting an engineering degree, most of my professors are more likely to be wearing jeans and t-shirts than jeans.
