What if the immigrant has no income but is on a jointly filed tax return?

Question. I passed the interview yesterday but couldn’t get approved cause I didn’t bring tax transcript. I went and checked for it online to print it. The thing is I’m 24 and started really working in 2018. I only have 4 years transcript. With 2021 not filed yet. How does that work? Will I be denied?

Question for U : I became a permanent resident in 1986 . I am 66 years old and I am filling up the application for Citizenship .
Because of Ignorance and misinformation in the community; I didn't file taxes for three years I think from 1989 to 91 and then I miss it again in 2006 . I do Not owe taxes to IRS . I mean they are Not after me because of that .
I have come to the question that if I owe taxes to IRS and if I have always file my taxes .
I do NOT know what to answer .!!

I contacted a tax firm who said not to file tax return for such a small income. My interview is in November. What should be my credible reply why I didn't file 2017 tax return.

Hi Jackie! I have a question. A little backstory, I applied for n400 last october 2022 and now have an interview scheduled. We didn’t owe taxes then but we just filed our 2022 taxes and found out that owe, do I need to disclose that during the interview? Especially when asked that question?


I have already set up a payment plan w/ the irs and planning to bring that proof to the interview.
