Wat Phnom or Phnom Daun Penh where they got the name for Phnom Penh. There was a grandma named Penh who found a Buddha sculpture from the Mekong River and she started to build this hill. This is an historical hill for the city was completed in year 1372.
Tuk Mun is spiritual water for people to visit the hill. There are many things to do in PP and I would suggest toSilk island for a day which is about 30 minutes away to see how the locals live.
Also go to S21 museum or Killing Fields for an educational trip but it can be sad for some people to go.
My house was only a few blocks from S21 museum and it was my former high school.
Can't wait for my coming trip next month to see my sister who lives in Euro Park at Borey Penh Hout.
Have a great day with your cousin🎉

Retire in Cambodia has made you much happier. Congratulations on moving to Phnom Penh and showing the world how amazing Cambodia is. You are definitely an ambassador to Cambodia. You put your money where your mouth is and decided to live in Cambodia and support this incredible country. I can’t imagine one day they will honour your enthusiasm for Cambodia and your tremendous love for their culture, history, cities, people and country. Hope you come back to Siem Reap. Great video and keep up the great work.

Admire your courage to sell everything to move to Asia. My wish is to live there a few months out of year for food and culture. About 7 years to go before I feel comfortable quitting my job…By then I will be 62 so I will be able to collect social security in the US.

Your enthusiasm is infectious! I love it! In Phnom Phen you should check out The Grand Palace, it is based on the Thai one in Bangkok but personally I find it better as it is less ostentatious (please don't get me wrong I love he Bangkok one) and has some beautiful gardens to sit and contemplate in. It also is in my opinion essential to visit Tuol Sleng Prison and Killing Fields at Cheung Eck...it is harrowing but it is important to find any sort of understanding about the amazing Country that is Cambodia and what has shaped the amazingly friendly people.
