Actually my monitor is one of the highest color gamut ones and its too oversaturated annoying, the ACM actually helps a bit. but I totally miss my 2011 Samsung 1080P 22 inch crap TN with samsung natural color profile, everything just looked normal and right even though no wide color gamut, no backlight dimming, no nothing... I actually miss the god damn natural colors.
Also my monitor sRGB gamut emulation is a joke compared to my old screen it looks all whitish gray with no colors and not natural...
Nope, cuz I don't use Windows. Stinky.
ОтветитьACM enabled gave me issues with alt-tabbing games, it would take way longer and have a blackscreen.
ОтветитьI dont have that option. What that mean?
ОтветитьYeah windows has a problem with color management for as long as I remember. Disable it and using colorimitor is way better for any professional works.
ОтветитьNow can tell us how to fix hdr streaming in Discord?
ОтветитьAs someone that’s been using Windows for years, I never noticed this! Subscribed.
ОтветитьAh so this is why HDR images on my desktop looks like shit.
ОтветитьCan techless can you test the titan army p2510 s plsu monitor? Its a really interesting budgfet monitor
ОтветитьI have an Asus PG27AQDM 2K 240Hz OLED and if I use the Windows settings it sets the monitor to 10bps and the color level becomes yellow and I don't know what to do so I use it at 8bps which is all normal
ОтветитьOh my gosh, I am SO happy I came across your video today! Finally, I can actually see Display P3 colour in Figma, Photoshop and the browser. This is revelatory for me. I was under the impression that, I dunno, maybe my Surface Laptop Studio doesn't have as good of a screen as I thought it does.. But no, I turned on this ACM setting maybe when I first got it thinking it would make apps expand to the display's capabilities, but seems it's entirely backwards.
And I just got a new monitor last week, and was also wondering if I need to do more than just install LG's ICC profile.
But I would note, I also have HDR always enabled on the monitor as I watch HDR stuff quite often and like games in HDR, but Windows says ACM is automatically enabled with HDR on, so I went into the program properties like you mentioned, and enabled that legacy ICC management per app. Now I have the best of both worlds, it seems?
Thank you again so much for making this video! The vibrant colours I've been choosing in my designs now actually look the way I was hoping they would (and have been looking when I view them on my phone, but I thought my phone was exagerating things).
This is especially useful for people with Samsung OLED Monitors. I calibrated mine with Samsungs App, but I just could't get the colours right. Turns out, both my monitor and Windows ACM tried to clamp the colours in SDR, which resulted in a very dull image. Turning off ACM and setting the monitor's colour space to auto resolved all the issues. I think ACM is a good idea for people using LCD monitors and not calibrating anything. Anyone else should switch it off IMO
ОтветитьI can't find any color management options in windows settings > system > display > there is no color management option -> but there is 'advanced display settings' > color management tab > Color Management > now there is 3 tabs 'devices', 'all profiles', and 'advanced'. None of which I can find anything about ACM anywhere.
Ответитьi use ycbcr is it ok?
ОтветитьIf your monitor has a driver that includes an ICM profile, you won't see an ACM setting. Colors are already correct.
At least, that's the case with my ViewSonic XG270QG.
Wow windows 11 making everything worse. Why am I not surprised.
ОтветитьYes your gayness is wrecking my monitor.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьThere is no "color profile" setting for me at all
ОтветитьI am human colormeter
ОтветитьThis option does not exist in my Windows 11 for some reason. Will update it and see if it will show up.
ОтветитьACM makes my oled look like night light is enabled at about 40% lol
ОтветитьUser error.
Ответитьi love this channel!
Ответитьooo, nice moustache!
ОтветитьOmg nobody got a even an hdr monitor get urself forgoten and sucked with into oblivion
ОтветитьYea except you arent supposed to view content in anything beyond sRGB color range anyway except for in HDR content...
ОтветитьIS IT ON WIND 10 ??
Ответитьthat 24XX update still not showing up for my win11pro. i keep fiddling with my gz2711 settings and cant find (and dont know) what's most suitable settings for SDR games.
ОтветитьIt's such a drag to get anything to do with color working on Windows. Really makes me want to play more on consoles for proper HDR on-off switching since they actually have thoughtfully designed operating systems...
ОтветитьThe thing is I don't see that ACM option in my windows 11, so I'm not sure if it's on or off. So I went to the color management window from control panel and saw default windows device profile was an srgb profile, there are other profiles accessible from the drop down menu but I don't know which one to choose, would really appreciate if you did a video on it showing which one to chose or maybe how to import a better one.
Ответитьthanks for being vague about everything and getting nowhere
Ответитьsure it improves more contrast in fps shooters but what about latency or lag? If it's converting the color info as its coming isnt that introducing overhead which could effect your competitive shooter's performance? windows says "this may use more power" and to me that translates as more processing power which for gaming you dont wanna be giving away.
ОтветитьWhelp. There it is. There is the setting that is making my new OLED monitor look worse than the previous IPS. Thanks, Microsoft. Loved wasting my time searching Photoshop forum trying to work out what was going on...
Ответить"Bis zum Video"?
Excuse me? xD
Joa, man sieht sich :D
i have no idea why i’m watching this i’m color blind lol
ОтветитьWelcome to the challenge that is color management. It's been a balancing act since the early 90s.
Ответитьwhy do you look like AI
Ответитьso this is only for OLED screens?
ОтветитьMonitour
ОтветитьHow does anyone know works with color do it on Windows!!? it's impossible!
ОтветитьOf course this video pops up the day after I finally discover the issue for myself 😫
ОтветитьTroubleshooting: If this setting does not show in your Win 11, go to Windows Updates and make sure there are no pending updates.
(I had to click "Restart Now" in Widows Updates Settings, as otherwise it did not run the update on its own.
After that, Color Profiles was between Night Light and HDR, just as in the video.
However, for me it was already off by default.)
I litterally thought to myself something mustve gone wrong. Bought an asus pg32ucdm, sold my gpu about half a year ago and just bought a new gpu. When i turned on the computer again adter 6 months the colors looked extremely dull and boring
ОтветитьThank you so much. I had no idea. I have AW3225QF 4K OLED and turned ACM off. I hope I did good. :)
Btw, it says "color is automatically being managed if HDR is enabled" (which it is)... what does this mean? does it even matter? why does it automatically manage colors if I have my own custom ICC profile created via Windows HDR calibration app? 🤔🤔🤔
Where do I find this for Windows 10?
ОтветитьIt says something about MS when people need to visit sites like yours to find out how to make the Windows OS work as they hoped it would. Providing that it's even possible with the pay-walling to advance settings (Home v Pro) and they even remain in place after every auto update push resetting your selected settings.
Ответитьturning acm on my oled Samsung 980SD causes the screen to be super washed out even on the desktop.
ОтветитьTechless can you do a review on ez80 (or any HE iqunix) keyboard? I dont trust any other person beside you.
