How to Use the Salomon Shift Alpine Touring Ski Binding | Powder7

do you need pin boots to ski normally without going uphill

I have a question about these bindings, I have two boots one with pin holes and one without they have different boot sole length. Is it possible to adjust the heel piece using simple screw drivers to match the sole length? Or I have to remove the heel piece entirely from the skies and then re mount them to Mach my other boot ? Thank you
