I had switched on the power of my Azden Shotgun mic on Zoom H5 amd switched on Phantom Power also. I feel it blew something inside Zoom H5, I had to replace it. I want to understand why it blew it. I was supposed to switch off the Phantom Power of H5?
ОтветитьSweet video, thank you!
ОтветитьHey Roger, there is a video where some chap suggested to use a phantom supply solely for the ntg2 microphone (not the recorder), so that the preamp has less work to do and it actually helps with boosting the signal before it goes into the preamp port. Do you think that makes sense? having the h5 on phantom power and the ntg2 mic on phantom power too?
ОтветитьHey Roger, do you suggest a rode NTG2 to go along with a H5? I heard many bad things about it!
ОтветитьHi Roger thanks for your earlier reply! Can we turn on both the AC adaptor (which comes along with it) and not take out the batteries? also can we use rechargeable batteries? must it only be Eneloop?
ОтветитьDoes a H5 require external phantom power like a NEEWER phantom power supply? If so, how do we fix it? Or is it powered entirely by batteries? Can we use rechargeable batteries?
ОтветитьThank you very much!!!
ОтветитьMy mic has its own battery house, it works with 1.5V battery. Can I use it with phantom power Zoom H4n Pro ?
Ответитьis a behringer c1 a good microphone to use with my zoom h5 as audio interface? will the sound improve?
ОтветитьIt is awesome
ОтветитьThank you. I appreciate the fact that you mentioned using a power bank. Being dense, I never thought to use one. It looks like you plug the H5 into a typical Anker PowerCore. Is it just the 5v version for cell phones? (Liked the video.)
ОтветитьThank you very much!
Ответитьthank you for this!!!
ОтветитьI can't get any audio on my speaker monitors when using balanced TRS cables to the Zoom H5. I'm hoping it's a simple case of not using the right settings. Any advice?
ОтветитьWhat a great video. Thanks!
ОтветитьSo, I can safely use the H5 phantom power to my Tech Zone Stellar X2 cardioid condenser mic when in a portable situation?
ОтветитьI use the H5 as well in combination with two Rode NT5. They can be driven with 24 or 48 Volts. Both do work. I noticed no sound difference except for that the batteries of the H5 are faster down, when using 48V (of course: more power consumption). A friend of mine suggested: better use 48V instead of 24V, because then there's low noise! Is that true? Can this be explained physically/electronically?
ОтветитьAlso, Id love if you could check out my show and give me any constructive criticism! It's filmed with Sony A6400 and I do all the editing on Premiere Pro and Audition! Thanks!
ОтветитьThis was helpful! Thank you.
I use Shure SM7B for my in studio podcast and believe I need fantom power for those or it will not have any input. I will be using my H5 for field recording with 2 Shure SM48, is it true that I DO NOT need phantom power for those? Thi also answers the question of why my Zoom battery died while recording my last podcast! I know you use a power bank, can I plug the Zoom right into the wall to keep it charged during ym podcasts? Thanks again for all the help. I gave you a subscribe!
