I lost a little over thirty pounds. John Nash died at 86 from a car accident. Joanne Greenberg is 92. What do you mean that mentally ill people don’t live as long. Some live longer than people who aren’t mentally ill. This creep. Ach. I don’t miss my dad because dad was creepy and he called me sexy many times. It’s inappropriate. Then I was forced to take Haldol. My dad smiled at me on the way to the emergency room while I had muscle spasms in my jaw and a lot of pain. I also had panic attacks. There was a lot of inappropriate verbal abuse starting at the age of fifteen. I’m angry. Does anyone understand that it would be abnormal if I weren’t angry?

After. I took Trilofon, I started getting panic attacks. If was the first time that I was having panic attacks. The panic attacks lasted for twenty-one hours a day. The medication made me feel sick. I never felt mentally ill with panic attacks until I tried Trilofon which my parents gave me when I was eighteen. I took Trilofon against my will. I’m angry. I despise psychiatrists. Especially the one speaking in this video. Prozac is a horrible medication. The psychiatrist in the video seems like a cook. His smile is creepy. If psychiatry is good, why do people have bigger problems after they start taking psychiatric medication? I wish this psychiatrist take Trilofon and then have akastisia for life. Psychiatry is evil. I had delusions for the first time that my dad was going to fondle me while I took Trilofon. I also felt like yelling for twenty-one hours, but I didn’t. I would love to tell my dead psychiatrist and dead dad who tortured me to go to hell. I am still suffering.

I partially agree and partially disagree: I have bipolar disorder and it has certainly distroyed my life for some years, but the medication has helped me very much for more than 20 years now and now my life is acceptable and functional. There may be better ways, but for now, the pills do their job.

I was so skeptical about “metabolic healing” that I dismissed it out of hand. How could food address years of trauma? Well, it can’t, but if I’m not sleeping and my body feels like a prison, it’s hard to feel oriented and have some sense of agency. The helplessness was a huge factor in the trauma.

I’m only a week into keto and I’m sleeping through the night for the first time since the memories came rushing back 15 years ago. Having a “good match” therapist helps, journaling, walking, and meditation have always helped, but I really underestimated the mind-body connection and how important it was to create favorable conditions for healing. I’m no longer fighting this battle of attrition with sleep and inexplicably unstable moods. I’d been self-medicating with alcohol for years and that urge is completely gone.

Hoping this lasts. It’s such a dramatic difference in sleep and stability of mood that it’s hard to imagine it’s just placebo.

You are doing good work! I was productive my whole lfe until people started interfering with me and made me feel inferior, like i was crazy, harmful and like i must have a behavior problem or didnt have a brain. Maybe it was in peoples wrong interpretation and others reached the wrong idea or impretion by their lack of edication or what someone told them which was based in a lie, predjudice, hate fear, or what someone else told them Too many people rush to judgement! I was trying to keep myself sane living in this crazy world.

Definè out of control vs being triggered, then pissed off but in control. How do you know someones out of control. Even calm people get pissed off when people are in a rage or harming them, mentally, physically or emotionally. That doesnt make them crazy, out of control or lacking in discipline or weird? Some women and some men can be passive agressive or sarcastic to avoid judgement either way your pissed off. You can talk to them, reason with them, educate them. Not treat them like they are crazy or out of control. Why second guess theres an ulterior motive or that everyones the same according to the DMV or if theyve never threatened you. People should be allowed to express their anger in a controlled way, you dont keep setting them up or entrap them! What do people think anyway? When a women gets pissed or dresses a certain way, or is different shes out of control. Or if she speaks her mind. Men and other women stereo type and label women and some stereotype and label men and its got to stop! But most do it to women in society.. When your nice or sweet or different, youre either stupid or crazy. I spent most of my life trying to figure it out, thats all but everybody thought it was their responsibility to interfere with my psyche and how i should be treated, and whose in chare, or how to control me or change me instead of talking to me, asking questions or treating me like the adult ive always been! With some dumb emotional reactions i had when i was young. I wasnt programmed to be with a certain tribe or with my family or that something was wrong with me for not. I cared but nothing is wrong with someone whos not! And that is just how its been in my life!

I new bettèr than to ever take drugs and alcohol but i started smoking to stay skinny. Poor choice i got addicted and needed it for anxiety! It was impossible to qit. I stopped during pregnancies but couldnt but years ago i was finally able to quit but because of my stress throughout the years ive had to fight my addictive personality, like eating and shopping. It's never been about discipline, it was always trauma, stress and triggers.

Mitochondria is the power house of the body and requires protein and water. Healing absolutely requires pro tein after ill ness and or surgery. And it builds muscle with exercise and that effects the metabolism. I know its more coplex than that but you dont need to know much more than this. I was a healthy athleric muscular young kid and never had a health problem and ate well too. Stress and cortisol from the adreal glands will really screw you up and put the weight on you.

That I figured out on my own at one point, and I go through periods of feeling sick or down it's because other things come up and I forget, then get back to increasing my protein and water I feel better. I still have emotional triggers that get in the way alot!

Suicide attempts can be caused by people coming into your home and stealing things, moving them around, mocking you, treating you horribly in your present living situation after a life time of people treating you like shit! At any age! In my case, this is what caused it twice! I still fight it in my living environment!

What if we got rid of the medical system in terms of this and instead do as we used to--people caring about each other. the training is not medical, but learning how to listen. Peer support works, for example. Off the professionals!

Contradiction or better! Dr. Palmer separates normal mental issues from metabolic causes. As I was listening I thought,
"Couldn't the mechanism (cellular signaling or whatever) be the same BUT we have some information about the obvious metabolic and we don't have much about the trauma-induced." I was going to keep this unfounded opinion to myself until around minute 40 when you introduced us to "Doris." Clearly, she had enough "reason" to be depressed, etc. but she responded to diet.

Re. Mental illness, are they consuming THC? Legal doesn't mean safe, in spite of big money hype and addictive nature of the drug.
THC can cause massive SEVERE mental illness! Temporary Psychosis, and lifelong schizophrenia.
Until SUBSTANCES including THC, alcohol and sugar are eliminated, slapping a mental illness label on someone is disingenuous.

Meryl Streep (actress) did a true story movie called "Do No Harm." About her son becoming epileptic. What the medical establishment did to that boy will make you sick. He was on the brink of death. In the library (no Internet at that time) she came across the ketogenic diet. She got him to a clinic -- had to try and steal him from the hospital mind you. But he was totally healed. Based on a true story.

These doctors are the stupidest people on the planet. There is no evidence that anti depressants work. Their concept that cutting off people’s heads will cure their symptoms has ruined mental health treatment. 😂 Challenge them to show you a balanced brain and just how much yours is out of balance. It’s just a bunch of quacks that wanted to think of themselves as doctors.
