I really like the motif of Mia and Sebastian's theme that is present in both movies. In First Man it is introduced in Karen and is heard throughout various compositions, especially notable in Crater and Quarantine.

I’m 52, these young man to make something so delicate & sad in places then still able to shift to the massive grandiose. Still from the moment I first heard it in the cinema to when I hear it for the 100th time I find myself openly weeping at its beauty. The theremin encapsulates the sadness & isolation of space not only between earth & moon but also between Armstrong & everything around him. True beauty , thank you

You can sugar coat anything with sound and Cinematography, but when you can tell a story properly and the scrip falls apart, you end up with a mediocre film, which is what this was.

How the score was not nominated for an Oscar I don't know

One of the main themes in the music for this film lifted a melody from the chorus of ‘Butcher’s Tale (Western Front 1914)’ by The Zombies. I couldn’t help but notice it throughout. I wonder if this was on purpose or coincidence.

Justin Hurwitz is vomit inducing

The music in this movie is a living breathing character.

As a keyboardist part time, I really enjoyed the common theme of "butterfly" effects layered into sounds throughout the movie. Vintage sounds reminiscent of the era were fantastic including the moog theramin and analogue style synth sounds. In a way it shaped the movie, gave it feel and depth. Well done guys. first class work...respect.

Does anyone know what’s the name of the song playing in the background of the Dinner scene where all the pilots are sitting at the table and they tease Neil ? It’s a lady singing an old folk song ?

First man should have won every film award possible. One of the best soundtracks and movie I've ever seen. I've seen the movie multiple times, and it never gets old. It's nice to finally see Gemini get recognized for once.
