I just ordered this guitar. Looks so good. The cheapest that I bought was a Squier used for 75 dollars. I had to add new pickups for it. They were made in China. Three pickups and new face places plate
The guy that put it in told me that it plays so well. Its a very attractive guitar dispute the black spray paint headstock. It plays so well.
AWESOME Guitar!
Ответитьi bought this exact model 12months ago now, and thought i'd add that mine has a three piece neck, all the way up and through the headstock?
this is completely different from the one shown as the is now no scarf joint in the neck at all?
ans the fretboard is now made of a different material too looks more like rosewood, and does'nt leave any residue on fingers or frets.
also, it looks really nice now too, as you can see the woodgrain on the fretboard, and its a lovely colour.
Harley Benton CST24T deluxe, is one of the best, budget guitars on the market, imo?
i have Fenders, and Squires, Epiphones and Gibsons, but the Harley Benton, is the best value for money guitar for sale?
but don't buy one? please don't make the world know what we have with HB's the 2x12" Cabs they sell are better equiped than the Marshall, 2x12" cab?
as the HB has two 12" Celestion Vintage 30's inside, where the Marshall, has two vintage 30 copies in it, but is 3x the price, of the Harley Benton?
and when he plays {clean} it is not clean?
ОтветитьA very good Review , thanks . Sounds good and the price to !
ОтветитьIt’s the nut slots they need to be wider so the string can slide through without catching my prs had a high nut I had to lower and widen the nut for good action .
ОтветитьI WANT ONE ...BUT do I need it.........next month if Thomman have them......update, it's getting bought for me for Christmas 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
ОтветитьI disagree about the bridge type. I like the 6 saddles for intonation and I don't use the trem. No tuning issues. Got mine in 2019 and has the roswell Roswell pups.
To get the best out of your guitars you need to do some work to keep them right on all the time.
METAAAALLLLL 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸😁😁😁😁
Ответитьmine came made in Vietnam and not China as is yours. Mine has the Roswell pickups, My fretboard isn't like yours at all.
ОтветитьBought the CST-24T in Ocean because of this Video. I play it in a semi professional Top40 Coverband. It's my workhorse. After one week I had the first gig with it on a big gala and it's doing the job. If you spend extra 70€ for a setup..... Happy days!
ОтветитьHi, is for you the best harley benton sound/construction/components?
ОтветитьIf I want this guitar for many years and I don't use too much the tremolo but sometimes it's very useful to me, it's worth it to sacrifice the tremolo version just for having a better tuning?
ОтветитьI dream of having a robust guitar collection. Five guitars for about $1000 sounds like a way to build it up. Down the road, buy the real thing and mod the HB.
ОтветитьI can SEE the difference but I can HEAR it...sorry!!! Not for that insane price....
ОтветитьThis sounds exactly like Megadeth Hangar 18 intro. Nice guitar though. Harley Bentons are great and amazing for the price.
ОтветитьYou might already know that but i seen they changed a couple of things since the video (the pickups are now Rosewell and the guitar is made in Vietnam)
Ответитьthe prs is built like a prs. .the harley benton is built like a gibson. but alot cheaper.
ОтветитьVielen Dank für deine Reviews. Bin nun am überlegen ob ich die hier vorgestellte, die HB SC Custom oder die SC 550 Amber kaufen soll....?
ОтветитьI just bought one of these for $380 shipped, here in USA,.. same color, but stoptail, I literally just opened the box ...;-) came w/ upgraded Planet Tone pickups: a Blues Heritage + a Full Throttle Retailing @ $60 each, figure $130 a set. Plus installation if not DIY, and the price I paid makes perfect sense. works out to about $200 for the guitar itself..
I unwrapped it, tuned it & plugged it into a little Blackstar desk amp, and...it sounds pretty damn good even on that li'l thing !
Frets can use a little cleanup nothing major, but there is a slight edge that can be felt if you try.. nothing obnoxious..
The fret board is the burnt( thermally treated) maple/Rosacre (?) very dry, improved dramatically after a multiphase lemon oil treatment.... no glue or over spray etc...
Small imperfections in the paint and clear, maybe a handful, if you look closely, nothing major aside from one 4mm chip in the tinted clear coat right along one edge of the back cover.. the rest are just surface imperfections, made visible by the clear in the the light reflections.. Annoyingly for the rest of the build quality which is pretty good....the tuners are not installed aligned evenly. 3 of the 6 are installed crooked...
The guitar seems to be a NOS model..I found some goopy residue on the HS + a cpl of tuners,...some sticky adhesive vs glue..? nothing a little polish & a microfiber cloth couldn't handle. I heard there were a few of these that got out with a pickup problem...maybe that was the reason for the pickup swap....? The Coil split function works great and the differences in tones are very noticeable..
I will play around with this for a bit and then upgrade almost everything but the pickups: tuners, pots, caps, switch/jack, .. etc.. it is amazing how with $50-75 you can upgrade most any low cost guitar with the best parts avail. I have a set of Planet Wave locking tuners going on next week, i'll dbl check the neck relief and may lift the action a touch if a neck adjustment doesn't clean up a tiny bit of buzzing on a cpl of strings...
Swapping the chrome metal knobs to gold speed knobs was an immediate improvement to this color scheme..;-) .
An excellent guitar at an incredible price point.. anyone can build a phenomenal guitar from one of these with basic upgrades & spend well under $500....!
Hesitating between this one and the hollow body. Can anyone give me their opinion? I can't tell which model is more versatile.
ОтветитьWhich of the guitars did you chose to keep?
ОтветитьI hope to have this one next I love my back 1000 single cut .
ОтветитьDo you think the problem is the tremelo system itself or the tuners and or nut. I thought the specs said graphite nut. I asked because I had sen you re tune several times. the bridge itself?
ОтветитьAn excellent and honest review. Thank for taking the time to make it!
ОтветитьThey sure are pretty
Ответитьwhat for you fooling around ?
ОтветитьMetal......(METAAAAALLLL!!!!). Love that!! Very good review. I have been considering purchasing one of these, as it would only be just over $300 shipped for a PRS-style axe. Sounds GREAT.
ОтветитьWe all know this $200 guitar will not sound like the $6000 guitar. I wish more of these reviewers would discuss the relative feeling of playing the guitar. Does it feel cheap? Does it play smoothly? Are the frets scratchy or un level. You get the idea. We can all change the electronics and use really good amps, so to me, it’s all about feeling. And nobody ever seems to talk about that.
ОтветитьHow do we mention you if/when we buy from Thomann? I AM going to buy this one, and I want you to get your points, sir.
ОтветитьI use my stoptail CST-24 to play jazz standards. Really. Stop laughing. I think it is utterly astonishing and I (OK I am not a ‘proper’ jazz player) have been playing guitar for decades. Many thanks for a splendid review.✌️
Ответить"Sticky-outty-bitty" you're funny man :) and keep making these vids man i plan on using your link to buy my next guitar :) i already own an Amarok 6 green emerald quilted burst but i hopefully want to buy a Harley Benton CST 24 kit, hopefully with a wraparound bridge, and paint it orange on the back and blue on the front or vice versa, and make it a Goku (dragonball z) themed guitar :) your playing is awesome too man rock on!
Ответитьjust ordered 2 of the wraparound bridge versions. lol
ОтветитьIf I was going to play metal noise, I surely would not buy a PRS. The HB would be the way to go.
ОтветитьAnyone use one live though a fat pa .
As yet I don't know anyone who tours one .
I like your attitude ,
ОтветитьI was looking at the one without the tremolo and found your review video on their page. If I use your link do you still get reward points? Cheers.
ОтветитьI own several guitars, some expensives and some mid priced. I bought one of these (same model and finish) and I'm really happy with the playability and the sound. Impossible to find anything better for the price. And I love the look.
ОтветитьThat's a top video. I was thinking of buying one of these for my daughter and wondered just how good it is. The PRS just crushes it but for £200 it's very good. It sounds at least as good as an Epiphone or Squier but is even cheaper
ОтветитьGreat review. You convinced me. Absolutely love that finish and those tones sound amazing. Can’t go wrong at that price. Thank you
ОтветитьDo you think it can get convensing straty sounds?
ОтветитьBetween this Cst 24 and the Cst 24t P90 Version, which one would you choose? 😁
Ответитьplease someone explain to me the difference between a 2k guitar and 200 guitar's tremolo? like just what is the key difference you get for your money. try stretching them and tune them back up, and then repeat until it doesn't go out of tune! be sure to lift the string from the nut when your doing this so you stretch the whole string. works on every cheap strat knock off iv ever had
ОтветитьIt is now more than 8 years after this video, but I recently bough a preowned one that is about 6 years old. Current models use different woods and differrent pick ups, so I was curious about a contemporary review. Btw. I'm so happy that I got a mahagony one, since the color is semitransparent and the patterns are way more beautiful than the curently used material. But there is this thing about the tremolo and the fretboard material. Mine did not have glue issues, but I had the same reaction as you about the wood. The tuning when using the tremolo was not particularly stable either. But after doing some work on it, namely wd40 to the mechanics bridge and the nut as well as applying a quick hint citrus oil to the fretboard, it now stays trimmed save for an absolute divebomb, and even then it s only the bass strings that need a short bend to get back into tune. The fretboard wood now looks like brand new ebony, using my concert guitar as reference (well the one there isn't new and shows some wear, but where it is not that used it is very similar). Really happy I've cought myself this one in beautiful emerald flame.
ОтветитьExcellent guitar playing as always you are a professional with awesome tone. Thank you for your show.
ОтветитьI believe that sticky out bit on the back of the neck near the headstock is known officially as the "guitar tit". But don't quote me on that..
ОтветитьYour reviews are awesome! Even from 9 years ago!
