Спасибо Вам Марк Захарович за потрясающую живопись! Царство небесное.
ОтветитьOutstanding docu, very poetic and artistic. Narrated by the great Actor James Mason.
ОтветитьHow much he respects, loves, and honors his mother
Ответитьthx
ОтветитьDoes anybody recognize the aria that concludes this documentary? Any cues would be appreciated. I have been trying to find it for months.
ОтветитьI was wondering how his last name is pronounced.

ОтветитьWonderful documentary.
Chagall – the artist of Dreams, Fantasy, Love ...
Chagall says the secret of his life and his life's work is the love given him by his mother. They are his expression of gratitude for that love, his justification for the love she gave him (at 10-12 minutes).
"I sometimes feel as though I were born, so to speak, between heaven and earth, as though the world were a great desert where my soul wanders like a flame .. "
"As I grow older I see more clearly and distinctly what is right and wrong in our way of life and how ridiculous is everything not achieved with one's own blood and one's own soul .." (57 minutes)
You have no idea how this has made me smile. I’ve been in love with Chagall since 2015 and now quarantine has made me go on a Chagall binge of sorts, and I just keep falling deeper in love with his work. And now having come across this documentary and seeing what a sweet person he was until his last days... how could one not be fascinated by him? The painter of love indeed.
ОтветитьI have a Chagall trying to get authenticated
ОтветитьMatisse
ОтветитьNarrated by James Mason
Ответить........!!...Chagall, and the famous color blue...!!.....
ОтветитьI can not pretend to understand all that is said and shown in the video yet I want to continue to listen and to see
It is a shame that the relationship and son he had between marriages has been not been mentioned especially as much of the film is about love
From minute 38 the music seems to be an aria by Bach, can anyone tell me what opera it is?
ОтветитьI hope the music is not going to continue for long...already 4mins...grrrr! Not needed.
ОтветитьPure Beauty..
ОтветитьIT SEEMS IN MOST OF HIS CREATIONS,,,HE IS SAYING,,,HEY ! I'M JEWISH, HOW BOUT THAT !
Ответитьthis video is out of focus1
Ответить👍
ОтветитьThis 18th century Classical period F.J.Haydn/Mozart is so idiomatically incorrect for Chagall. Maybe Olivier Messian. But not classical period. Even if Chagall likes Mozart he is architecturally so 20th century sorry. I hate it when painters are incapable of understanding the architectural linguistic structural parallels between their work and other mediums. At least Kandinsky understood his work wasn't very tonal. Because tonality and representationalism are the same.
Ответитьa guy with powerful friends
ОтветитьWhat makes you think of what you did?
ОтветитьListening to his French, accented by Russian and Yiddish inflections and accents, is a biographical lesson in itself. I'm as fascinated by the course of his life as I am by his art. I have a couple of his etchings from the Bible series, and hearing him talk deepens my appreciation of them.
ОтветитьUma viagem além da bidimensionalidade.
ОтветитьCome vendere litigrafie di Mark Chagal????
ОтветитьJames Mason… you were one fine actor!
ОтветитьAlways nice hearing James Mason's voice 👌
ОтветитьAmazing documentary, thank you!
ОтветитьI adore Chagall. The painter of Love. Art is a gift from God.

ОтветитьI have visited his grave in St Paul-de-Vence.
Ответитьwant to screaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam after watchin it s2s2s2s2s2s2s2s2s2
ОтветитьIt is always interesting to hear surrealists talking about "freedom". They meant something much different about it than we today
ОтветитьWhere are these beautiful quotes from? Did Chagall often write?
ОтветитьEs un tesoro lingüístico para intérpretes, no traductores, que hacemos de puente entre el pensamiento del autor y el oidor u oyente.
ОтветитьI have looked for this documentary for literally decades, and never thought I'd find it! What a treasure to discover it here.
ОтветитьI think his crucifixion painting was a message to the western churches against his people the Jews
ОтветитьArt has no placed to be judged and his perception on life his strictly his and his beliefs on God our beliefs should not forget the past and WW2 was disgustingly brutal
