how can vulcan be effective on pcs that use integrated graphics, which most players are probably using

Brother, the Vulkan mod isn't good on old graphics cards and some (if not most) Integrated GPUs. On these systems, OpenGL tends to perform better. Please correct me if I am wrong.

The problem with the Vulkan mod that it doesn’t help very well with nvidia Quadro P520 (dGPU) and Intel UHD Graphics (does have bad performance than OpenGL)

So did my own personal testing on a ryzen 5 5600G with iGPU in 1.21.1, i waited around 5 mins each time and just type in the biggest number i got within that time, f3 screen isn't opened (i know they reduce fps when opened), 10 render distance, day time
on a random plains biome facing straight:
sodium: 775 fps
vulkan: 774 fps

facing straight up:
sodium: 1255 fps
vulkan: 1148 fps

both instance has lithium and modernfix, idk if its because i'm using an older machine, or iGPU doesnt work as well..but yea Sodium still takes the cake, haven't even mention the better compatibilty with other mods. (have no idea/data about frame time or input lag though)

How can you play with shaders in vulkan

here's the best mod i've installed for optimizing stuff
- Sodium
- Lithium
- Entity culling
- Sodium Leaf culling (add on for sodium, culling leaves)
- distant horizons (for extra render distance, but with controllable LOD)
- fastchest (optional, if you have a huge amount of chest in one place)
note:
1. u can replace Distant Horizons with Nvidium, but it's only work with nvidia gpu that produced around 2018 or later
2. yes, sodium also already provide culling, but limited to blocks instead of enitity and leaf , that's why i've added enitity and leaf culling
3. as for distance horizon, you'll usually greeted with notification that the queue are overflowed if you maxed out the render distance (32), try to reduce the radius on distant horizon settings below 128 (128 is the default, i've reduced it to either 96, 72, or 64)
4. fastchest could help, with the cost of disabling the chest animation
5. i play on a friend's server that already use ATM 10 (NeoForge) , which is over 400 mods

32GB DDR4 3600
Ryzen 5 5600X
monitor ultrawide 1080p

FPS gain from struggling to reach 40-50 to 130-160 ish

Vulcan gives me like 700 more fps on Intel Arc A770. Wish there was more shader and mod support for the Vulkan engine.

Now try using Linux since Java performance on Linux is much better.
