Hey I know you said this isn’t a video on what instructional to buy, but my loved ones have bought me quite a few instructions and I don’t know where I should start. I have the following: JD pin escapes, JD newest stand up, GR seated guard, GR mount, AW buzzsaw passing, AW back attack, LG half guard anthology, LG half guard passing, and chewjitsu butterfly guard.

I have been training for about a year, and right now I’m having some luck with butterfly, ashi, and mount.

I love the videos and appreciate your time.

The future of instructionals is instead of just providing “lecture” content, they actually give you mini games for you to learn the concepts.

I feel like that’s something you could do.

Gracie academy was doing the mini game thing 15 years ago, problem is they never finished the curriculum and the site is terrible.

It’s true but also sometimes a video may be very dense with info in which case you should really do it in bite size pieces, but sometimes they go on and talk about a lot of concepts which are easy to digest and remember and utilize right away in which case I’d say it’s permissible to watch the entire thing like a movie. It depends on how dense the topic is and whether it’s purely moves or more concepts. I’ve done both styles and I found binge watching can be effective too. Depends on the situation . I would say retaining 1% may be a bit of an exaggeration but I may be biased cuz I take a lot of notes and mentally rehearse all the time and I. Feel like I absorb much more than 1 percent

For me sometimes I like to watch the video in its entirety , just to make sure I get the general picture and force myself to not take foreeeever to watch it . And then I go back and watch segment by segment
