I think it is the reason why America will not be the super power anymore. They are debating about climate change!
ОтветитьArguably they should NOT see eye to eye because one side is objectively wrong
ОтветитьEvery skeptic in every country says no matter what our country does it wont make a difference. Bit of a problem in logic there.
ОтветитьReally disappointed in who they chose to represent the anti climate change side of this. it isn't about money and freedom. It's about the fact that the science being used to argue for shuts up any disagreement, yet has been wrong in 100's of predictions since the 1950's
Ответитьwe're so cooked
Ответитьcarbon is not the cause that is a NASA hoax, the nuclear bombs and rockets THEY manufacture are the cause ... and they know.
ОтветитьBring the original founder of Greenpeace onboard. Get a real debate going.
ОтветитьAre we hotter than the Triassic?
ОтветитьHard to see how there could be middle ground on issue like this, both are pretty understandably extreme in part from the stakes involved and in part from, because, as response to the other side's extremism, really different values, goals, expectations.
ОтветитьNobody in the comments weighing in on Michael's "nonprofit that concerns itself with threats to western civilization"?
Ответить"Global warming is an infringement on my rights." "Climate has changed even before existence of mankind." "The USA doing something to prevent climate change will not help if others (read: China) won't do something." 🤦♂🤦🤦♀
ОтветитьThat is utterly incorrect about how easy it is to charge in Los Angeles unless you have a Tesla those chargers are everywhere non-Tesla users need to use EVgo Electrify America Chargie point etc.. The infrastructure is not here yet. The big problem is that California is pushing these EV cars on us, but the infrastructure is ready for such demand. Summertime comes. They asks us not to charge not to use heavy power drying devices like washing and drying AC one of the biggest problem is these superchargers are always half broken. I’ve had to wait two hours and another 45 minutes to charge and if you go to the next one, guess what there’s a line there as well. You wanna go green but nobody’s talking about the aftermath of these batteries where did they go? What happens to them? Nobody asked that question.
One gentleman didn’t make a point I remember back in the 80s and 90s in Los Angeles they were smog and it started going away in the 2000s late 2000s to where we are now is clear skies and we pay for that summer blend. This is not just a state issue. This is a world wide problem, and everybody needs to contribute plain and simple
Germany will not recover soon... The climate regulations damaged their economy that creates civil unrest... Climate change due to human activities are true but over exagerrated by the party of so called "empathy" or i rather say a misplaced empathy ....to control the opposing ideas. There should be compromises, this world is not black and white, it's a chaotic mixture of grey areas.
ОтветитьAnd all the 5G towers that microwave us and all the chemicals they spray has ruined the atmosphere and they still continue to do it. The Criminals and the pilots of these planes that spray us are horrible humans . I hope one of you criminal pilots reads this! You are a disgrace to humanity.
ОтветитьAndrew is such a lame
ОтветитьThis thought helped me visualize, "Think of the north pole and the equator and of the south pole..... how much can your life be easily sustained in the middle of those two points? Do you see how fragile we live?"
ОтветитьIs the word "Skeptic" really applicable to them? They're more wilfully ignorant than anything.
ОтветитьIf the CEOs of United Healthcare are willing to deny care to dying patients merely to enrich themselves, isn't it plausible that scientists might mislead the American public to maintain the status quo?
ОтветитьClimate change denies an anti-vaxxers being so prevalent is a uniquely American issue. And it stems from having a two-party system and letting large corporations "donate" to politicians. That's why it matters a fact are so politicized.
ОтветитьIt's ironic that The guy who said he's concerned with future generations is a climate change. Denier.
ОтветитьI agree that there are many eco friendly practices and products that are expensive because they are more trendy now.
ОтветитьNo one is acknowledging the real problem and that is capitalism which is the main cause for global warming. The issue here is the free market and the means of mass distribution as well as corporations that are the main cause. So no global warming isn’t the main problem it is the system that is causing it. The problem that the activist side as well as the skeptic don’t recognise is that we are fighting the symptom but not the cause.
ОтветитьThis guy complaining about not be able to water a lawn. Not water for food or bathing. Lawns.
ОтветитьThe skeptics are pretty stereotypical conservatives. Their points are all about "choice" and "cost." This guy citing the Constitution, and the woman pulling the "socialism" card. Holy crap. Be original
ОтветитьOne thing that was touched on a little that I want to highlight, the animal agriculture industry needs to end if we are to become sustainable. If you want to reduce your climate impact, moving to a plant based-diet is the best thing you as an individual can do.
ОтветитьLawns are so water-intensive useless, wasteland of a monoculture nothing ever natural transforming our water into sweet pesticide, fertilizers aftertaste! Who agrees! 👍⬇️
ОтветитьHomelessness that is the bitter truth we are going to face in the future 😢
ОтветитьGlobal warming is a violence on constitutional rights 😮
Ответить”no matter what the USA does it’s not going to make an impact on a worldwide greenhouse gas emissions…”
USA is the world’s second largest polluter, with greenhouse gas emissions totaled approx. 6000 million metric tons (approx. 14.0 trillion pounds) of carbon dioxide equivalents. In comparison EU’s greenhouse gas emissions are approx. 3000 million metric tons.
So the actions of USA has huge impact on a global scale.
"Oh no the economy"..
We will be very dead, in the ground, you don't need a economy then anymore.
how can you be a skeptic about FACTS?????
ОтветитьTHEY ARE NOT SKEPTICS. This sort of nonsense gives scepticism a bad name. The ultimate sceptics are scientists and you don’t see them denying climate change. They are CLIMATE DENIALISTS, because they are in denial. 🤔🤔🤔
ОтветитьNone of the skeptics are scientists 😭
ОтветитьWe need an uncut version of this!!!!
ОтветитьTo climate-science deniers:
🎶 "Say, where do you base your ignorance and lack of understanding?
Flashy videos on the internet that were passed around like candy?
And where do you find that hubris and that arrogant audacity?
Burying your head in sand won't save you from catastrophe. 🎶
It's really all an issue of acceptance or resistance to cognitive dissonance. Most climate science deniers also deny other forms of science, because it greatly conflicts with their worldview. They either cannot accept changing that worldview, or are cognitively incapable of it. And so they reject anything, even if it's the truth, if it conflicts with that worldview.
ОтветитьSo in a Collapse of Society, Economy and climate extinction , he think that he got liberty and freedom ?
What kind of Liberty and Freedom is that ? The Choice between giving himself a Headshot or hunger to death ?
Those are all very weird arguments, like they never been to school or are unable to think straight.
this one was disappointing, I was so surprised when it ended I feel like nothing went anywhere
ОтветитьThis argument misses the point. It doesn't matter if climate change or global warming exist, we should take care of our planet it's where we live.
ОтветитьTotally disagree with the guy who thinks the USA are doing the most to address climate change, the UK is doing far more and we are smaller than individual states! India, China and America are in the top most destructive
Ответитьphd researcher climate scientist for decades vs read some facebook posts
Ответить"a non profit that concerns itself with the threaths to western civilization" Not even a minute in and you know this ain't going nowhere 😂😂
ОтветитьI never knew matthew mcconaughey is a part time climate change activist
ОтветитьLogically weak, self-serving, and intellectually-dishonest. So irresponsible. A betrayal to us all.
That's what we get from this pro-pollution crowd. If they weren't so scientifically illiterate,
their opinions might have social value. They are proud of not comprehending basic climate science.
Exhausting to 'debate' with willfully ignorant ideologues.
Not that is matters, but climate cultists would have lots more credibility if their solutions were in line with problems posed.
Nobody is saying "Thorium reactors", "hydroelectric", or "space elevators".
It's all authoritarian and antihuman, all for the sake of 1% of global carbon emissions in the US.
Whoopity doo! Global climate soviet! Hazaa! Totalitarianism 🙄
It is either a solvable technical problem, or it isn't. Pick one.
OMG may not water their lawn what an adaucity.
ОтветитьIs it always gonna be like America vs China? I am from neither of the countries and anxious about climate. It's time to stop blaming each other and take action. Probably these people are not worried because they won't live long enough to see the affects personally. THE WORLD DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU
ОтветитьThe young adult fiction novel by Claire Rosemary Jane entitled “Chloe’s Extraordinary Telescope” and also being discovered and enjoyed by adults examines this whole business of climate change in that Chloe along with her friend Jack are able to see into the future up to 4000 years ahead through the telescope. What they witness is that the world is destroyed in about 3000 years time . To start with they were not too worried about this because it was so far into the future. What really started to worry them was that nobody believed them when they tried to talk about it. Fiction it may be, but could it actually become not just fiction but inevitable ?
ОтветитьHey Goodhumans! This was one of the most requested episodes we’ve had. It was also one of the toughest to tackle for our team, but deeply illuminating for us as well. We hope the same for you.
