Professor Justin Fendos recently wrote an article “How Surveillance Technology Powered South Korea’s Covid-19 Response”, and covered an interesting aspect of South Korea’s approach in managing the virus.

Justin Fendos is a Professor and the Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Global Biotechnology Department at Dongseo University in Busan, South Korea.

From 2015 to 2019, he also served as the associate director of the Tan School of Genetics at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.

From 2014 to 2015, Justin was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute teaching fellow at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Justin is a regular contributor for The Diplomat and The National Interest while also being the founder and CEO of eSTEP Suite, a software company specializing in educational tools for active learning and eSTEP Consulting, specialising in language, research, and educational services for companies and institutions in East Asia.

Justin earned his PhD in cell biology from Yale.
