How many mags do you need

We have 6 for each firearm. You can not fit more than 6 in a fest so any more than 6 seems to be a miss direction of funds. Money better allocated to acquiring more ammunition. One can have thousands of magazines however with out cartriges to load them with, what good are they. In my opinion you only need what you can carry with you.
